Whenever there is lamb, there is usually Cumin in it!
Apart from lamb, a lot of their other dishes served there contained cumin too.
I was really looking forward to the Cumin fried chicken wings, but they have discontinued it!
Picture of the cumin fried chicken I was looking forward to from 愛食's review:http://static3.openrice.com.hk/UserPhoto/photo/2/1SY/00CU0TC55A8DEB4D7CA69Am.jpg
This is different to the current chicken wings they serve, because the chicken is cut from one of the wing bones and turned inside out and fried.
In the end, I ordered the noodles in spring onion sauce, beef noodles, fried beancurd roll, and Osmanthus wine dumplings.
Noodles in spring onion sauce wiv dried prawns
It was very fragrant when it arrived, the smell of deep fried spring onions, and the dried prawns,
The dried prawns were slightly soft and chewy. Not as dehydrated as the dried shrimps.
The noodles were tasteless at first, it needed heavy and rigorous mixing with the sauce at the bottom.
The noodles were dense and clumped together, which was tiring to pick up with chopsticks.
Overall, this was very good, but my hands were very tired afterwards.
The soup had a layer film of oil on top, and the cumin was very strong.
Nothing spectacular about it.
This was a bigger version of the ones found in Chinese restaurants, it was flatter and bigger in size, and cut into four quarters, filled with the usual julienne carrots and black fungas.
Slightly too oily, but after the addition of vinegar and chilli, it was ok.
I have never tried this before, but it turned out to be OK, the Osmanthus flavouring was subtle.
I felt the smell was like flowered scented bath liquid or soap.
There were lots of cute flowers and the dumplings were slightly too soft for my liking.
The osmanthus soup was slightly thick and a little too sweet.
The spoon for the dessert was interesting, on the bottom side, it looks like an ordinary chinese spoon, and the top side, it is rounded.
The can of coke had a cute design, the bamboo pan that they used for the bill was interesting too, reminded me of those pans in the market selling vegetables and Vietnam.
