Guaranteed CRUNCHY Chicken

Just felt like having fried chicken so went to Jollibee in Whampoa because I was in the area.
Ordered two pieces of fried chicken with fries and a drink for HKD40.
Unfortunately, they served Hong Kong style milk tea and it was as dark as coffee.
The taste was super bitter.
If I knew it was Hong Kong style drinks I would have got the a la carte.
As for the fried chicken, the coating was damn crispier than before as stated on the flyer which I didn't notice.
Honestly I prefer the fried chicken before when it wasn't so crispy but the sad people here love crispy chicken because if it is not crispy they think its not fried properly.
Same go for the retards complaining that English chips are not crispy.
The other piece of chicken was so dry and woody.

Went to this branch to avoid the crowd.
Even though there is a new branch in MK, I prefer going to this branch because the HK side is always better.
As I was having lunch, I only had a piece of fried chicken and it was succulent and juicy with a good side of gravy.

I like to dine here in the weekday evenings because it is easier to get a seat.
Jollibee is from the Philippines so obviously it is a popular place for local Philippines to dine there.
What I find amusing is that the local Chinese people will avoid sharing tables with them which is really immature because if they can venture there to eat food, why should they be afraid of cultural differences.

Another example in the UK, a Chinese person who gets on a bus/train/tube/whatever will sit near a Chinese person if there is one which quite alot of BBCs find so weird.

Again, I have experienced these weird people who choose to sit near my table when I am dining in a restaurant with 99% expats.
They also disgrace themselves by talking really loudly and ruining the ambience.

Anyway, as well as burgers and fried chicken they also serve my favourite local Filipino food such as Palabok and Bangus.

Hot chocolate:

Tastes really good unstirred because it is strong and not too sweet as most of the sugars are at the bottom.

Spaghetti:

I didn’t like this because it was too sweet but it contains Flipino red sausages.
+++++++++
Palabok:

It seems that the egg is missing but I never eat that anyway so it doesn’t matter.
The prawn gravy is delicious with the glass vermicelli.
+++++++++
Bangus:

This is always my favourite, boneless chunky fish with an appetizing vinegar taste.
+++++++++
Burger patties with gravy:

If you like the fried chicken gravy, you will love this because the gravy is really tasty with lots of mushrooms in it.

[Review 4321] The menu at Jollibee has changed‏ @ 快樂蜂 Jollibee

Went here in the evening so that there would was less people.
[I liked the way the staff was siting behind the wall so the manager couldn't see her skive!!]
To my dismay, there were quite a few items that were gone such as the bangus with rice, palabok noodles and the noodle soup.
The menu was pretty basic and just had fried chicken, spaghetti, hotdogs and the pie.
In the end I got the chicken, creamy macaroni, mango peach pie and hot chocolate.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
chicken joy:

The chicken was very oily but at least it wasn’t shriveled up.
I was given lots of napkins so I was able to blot of the excess oils.
As for the chicken it was a bit too dry but there was gravy which was a bit too salty.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
creamy macaroni:

The creamy macaroni was really nice, it was ribbed macaroni in thick soup that tasted like instant chicken soup but the soup was a little salty though.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
mango peach pie:

I got this for fun and the size of the pie was just bigger than a sachet of sugar shown on the picture.

A guilt free snack because of its size but the price of it is the same as McDonalds!!
It was quite sweet with soft chunks of mango and peach.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
hot chocolate:

I tried the chocolate before the pie and it was really sweet, after having the pie, the drink was no longer sweet.
The chocolate was quite nice because I did not stir it so it tasted watery with a chocolatey taste but after I mixed it, I didn’t like it because it tasted powdery.

[Review 2162] Super Jolly and Jollier with Jollibee food @ 快樂蜂 Jollibee

I was here again for my favourite fried chicken and palabok.
The lovely fried chicken comes with gravy so I always order extra fries to go with gravy.
The service is really efficient and after you order most of the food is ready on your tray in an instant which is so much quicker than KFC.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fried chicken:

The chicken was fried just right, it tasted nice with or without gravy much better than KFC.
Although it smells of horrible oil fumes outside, the chicken does not taste rancid, nor does the restaurant smell inside.
The chicken that they serve here is always chicken drumstick or the chicken thigh!
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fries and gravy:

The fries were perfect, just the way I like them because they are pale and not over done.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
palabok:

The palabok was a bit too heavy this time, there was too much lard in it despite using the lemon to balance it out.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Lemon Tea:

It was interesting they actually put a slice of lemon despite it was lemon tea from the dispenser.
The lemon tea was way too sweet and syrupy for me.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Came here again for more food.
As well as the food and great packaging, it is interesting they are quite hygienic and concerned about health because on the paper it tells you not to place your food directly on the trayliner.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Hotdog:

The hot dog was nice and soft but the sausage tasted quite beefy.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Crispy bangus:

This turned out to be amazing. As well as the fried chicken, this is also delicious.
I have been eating this all the time at Quezon in Wan Chai, but I did not realise Jolibee also offered this.
Basically it is deep fried peppered fish with vinegar. The one at Quezon is half of a whole fish because it is a smaller fish and it still has bones but the one here is a bigger piece of BONELESS fish!!!
The vinegar is given separately here and the fish tastes good with or without vinegar!

I thought I had to wait, but the fish and other meals were already boxed and ready to serve!
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Peach and mango pie:

I do not like mango but I tried it anyway! The filling was slightly different to the product shot because the mango and peach had already been mashed up, but the taste was amazing, usually Pinoy food is too sweet however the sweetness was just right and the peach was strong that I could not taste the mango.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Coconut and pineapple:

I tried this because in the Pinoy cuisine they use young coconut and this pie was also delicious because there was more proportion of young coconut and the sweetness was just right too.

A really good place for Filipino food, I was surprised, there were not many reviews during that burger madness period.

During this visit, I tried the Palabok, Savory Beef rice, Wonton noodles and the Pearl coolers.

Palabok:
My favourite, glass noodles with thick shrimp sauce.
Although the flavour was not strong or salty enough, it was good with lemon juice.
The sauce was a bit thick.

Wonton:
A bit bizarre seeing wonton noodles in a Filipino hamburger shop, so ordered it,
very strong taste in garlic, with glass noodles.
Also the wontons were wrapped different to the Chinese one, u can see the prawn.
The portion was very small.

Savory beef rice:
Yummy minced beef in tomato sauce and rice. (forgot to take pic)

Pearl Coolers:
Very strong in coconut taste, and very sweet!

[Review 7] Creamy Macaroni @ Jollibee 快樂蜂

Date Reviewed on Openrice: 10/02/2006

When i walked past Jollibee, I saw this big poster advertising Creamy macaroni, so I went in to try it, as it seemed like an interesting dish.

As it was a small bowl, it only cost me $10, I also wanted to try their pies, but the flavour i wanted to try was sold out.

The Creamy macaroni tasted quite nice, it tasted like chicken soup/chicken a la king with macaroni added to it.
