I actually wanted to come here for the eggettes because I read somewhere that they were doing curry, but they only had original today.
Anyway, they only do eggettes at certain times of the day, and their egg tarts are baked at certain times of the day too, so you have to be there at the right place and right time to get their bakery products.
Maria's bakery in general is really good and sometimes their bakery tastes better than anticipated.

Custard bun with runny custard filling:
This bun totally surprised me, the filling inside was delicious and runny and the whole bun overall was not too sweet.
They used the same method as their runny eggtarts by enclosing the runny filling in a glutinous mochi sack.
As well as keeping the runny filling together so that it does not get absorbed into the bun, the chewyness of the mochi filling in the bun was delicious.

Chocolate souffle:
This was just a plain chocolate bun with dense cocao paste inside.
At first when I took a bite I thought it had two layers of filling, then after the second bite it was not.
The filling tasted like the biscuit part of moistened oreo cookies.
The overall bun was not too sweet.

Mini apple crumble:
The size of the apple crumble was quite cute and it contained raisins and diced stewed apples,however it was too sweet.
I was expecting the colour of the filling to be a lighter colour.

Chocolate king muffin:
This was too dry.

Improvements:
The shop space was too small even after rennovation, it was hard to get to the cabinets without knocking people about hence the queue outside the shop.
It would also help if they answered their phones too as I have tried to call them many times to make some enquiries.
