Minced beef tea set

Occasionally there are some good tea sets at Yoshinoya but the main menu is stupid because it doesn't show them.
Saw it on the digital display which changes quickly so had to wait ages before it showed that particular set again.
Got the minced beef with rice vermicelli.
The mince has obviously been sitting there for a quite a while as you can see the dark dehydrated bit which they haven't bothered to mix before serving.
The fried chicken was not edible because it was hard and dry but luckily the main thing was good.
The rice vermicelli was thin and tasted like the CHEWY (chiulik) brand with water that was included as they didn't drain the noodles properly.

Overall satisfied and they also serve green tea Swiss rolls which is not a Yoshinoya Brand.

Yoshinoya doesn't serve my favourite salmon bowl anymore which is why I rarely go.
I didn't feel like the beef so ordered the fish a la carte with some rice.
The rice was cold and sadly the fish had been covered in sauce which is just sweet and the texture of the fish tastes like it came from the can.
Also tried the cream puffs which were rather sweet.
The cream one tasted good while the chocolate one was rather sickly.

Was shopping in the area so stopped by for some TEA.
Strangely they had HK style milk tea so ordered it along with Japanese tea.
The Japanese tea was ok, it had the usual grassy taste.
The tea on ice tastes like the usual HK milk tea so hkers should love it.
However it was a bit sweet for my liking.
As well as tea, they are serving toasts, crispy pork chop buns to attract the locals.

Discovered this new pork chop bun at Yoshinoya so decided to try it.
It seems that no one has ordered it before as it was like a new task to them and it took about 20 minutes.
The noodles were too soft.
The pork chop was in a soft sweet bun, there were some onions and salad cream sauce so the taste was rather Hog Kong style but then pork chops buns are from HK!
Worth trying but not my cup of tea.

Toast at Yoshinoya

A few years ago, there was a craze for a special bread that had lots of layers. The toast is similar to a cruffin but in bread shape.
Tried it without the syrup and it tastes like a buttery croissant with bread texture and lots of layers.
After adding the maple syrup, the sweetness blends in with the buttery taste making it more palatable.

Condensed milk and meat floss is also available.

$48 is quite reasonable for a shabu shabu.
You get noodles, beef and vegetables.
The taste was ok but I chose the wrong broth which ruined it.
The broth was too sweet for my liking.
This branch is small and cramped but close to the MTR station which is good,

Korean noodles

Went here because I wanted to try the cheesy Korean noodles.
Unfortunately for both choices, it comes with a Korean soup base which is obviously hot.
Luckily they have another soup base so I didn't use the original because after I tried it, it was way to spicy.
The cheese things were filled with cheese and tasted quite artificial because it was too bouncy with no meat or fish taste to it.
