All the way for fried fish!

Came here because I found out that they had fried fish!Started with the luncheon meat and tomato sandwich which was soft and fluffy balanced by the appetizing tomato slices.

The star of the show was the fish, but the sauce was weird because it was viscous and frothy, the colour was different to the pictures posted which were clear and dark with visible herbs floating on top.

The fish was good but I didn't touch the sauce because it didn't look right.
Also had the chicken wings which were crispy and sweet.

Finished with the fruit tea which was extremely good with a strong passionfruit taste and it was not too sweet.

Haven't been to SKW for ages so decided to go there and have a look.Went here because they have my favourite stinky tofu.
The tofu was crispy but not as pungent as you would expect but saying that, some people said they could smell it when they came in.

Also had the beef noodles which had a strong soup, it was a little bit spicy.

For drinks had the Earl grey with red tea, the bergamot flavouring was very promient.
The hot fruit tea was big and made with fresh fruits!

Went here for dinner after going to the gun club nearby. We were greeted by this familiar looking gentlemen who turned out to be the owner, it turns out he is cantopop singer Vangie Tang's dad which explains his good looks!
My favourite song by VT is Gei Lim!!

Anyway, back to the food, they specialize in chicken pots and there is a pretty good seafood set for 2xx per person and you get a live crab, oyster, fish prawns and abalone!~

Crispy beancurd rolls:

Cuttlefish balls with yuzu honey:

Here was the delicious hotpot:

The spiciness was just right and I liked the way it was steady and the spiciness remained constant all the way through.
The chicken was tender and the purple onions were sweet.
After we finished eating the chicken, broth was added.
The crab turned out really good and everything was tasty that we didn't really need the sauces given in the beginning.

As I was still hungry after lunch, I went here because they offered a bowl of rice with a choice of chicken, chicken wing tips, fish balls and chicken gizzards for $20.
I found it too garlicky and spicy, but the portion was really good.
There was also some sauce on top of the rice which I didn't like as it was overwhelming.
The chicken was lean and meaty as it was white meat.

It's already Christmas again and the cookies by Kee Wah Bakery has an element of creativity in it where you can decorate them with icing sugar pens.
 0 讚好

In the box, there are three different flavours: chocolate, ginger and cinnamon in three different shapes Christmas tee, heart and a star.
There are two icing sugar pens for you to decorate them.
At first, I thought the icing sugar was stuck but you have to put them in hot water to melt the icing inside.

Cookies decorated by me:

All the flavours were good, my favourite was the ginger and cinnamon and the icing sugar adds an extra sweetness to it.
The Christmas bauble was filled with my favourite nougat and ginger candies which are so moreish that you finish them as soon as they are opened.

Went here as I suddenly wanted some crispy dumplings and I was too lazy to walk over to Prince Edwards.
The flavours and menu are different but they had what I wanted.
There are some modern flavours such as cheese etc.

They let you choose different flavours so you can try 5 different ones in one go.
Surprisingly the seaweed and pork was really good because the seaweed gave it that umami without extra sweetness, encased in this crispy dumpling skin.
Also had the ox tripe and noodles which are there to fill you up as the star of the show really are the dumplings.
Finished with the salty lemon to balance the heaviness of the dumplings.

The durian bun was the star of the show

Used to work next door but not anymore.Anyway, came here because of the durian bun.
It is a pineapple bun stuffed with creamy durian puree and a scoop of D24 durian icecream.
I am not a fan of pineapple buns but the creamy durian bun made it evilicious.
The lemon tart was also good, refreshing but not too sweet or sour so it tasted how it should.
Strangely, there were not many drinks on the menu except boring HK style tea and coffee but they did have Perrier so I had that.
The food was just the usual stuff but they had quinoa salad which was healthy and tasty.

My friend specifically wanted a snowman cake so this was the only shop that did it.The lady at the CWB branch was so biatchy when I asked about how many days in advance to order and on the day of collection she had such a shat look on her face.
Anyway, the cake itself was ok and you get given more candles than other cake shops.

It was a coconut mousse and pineapple cake, it was mainly coconut mousse which seemed like the mousse was made with gelatin as it was quite firm
The pineapple in the middle tasted like it had been soaked or cooked beforehand as the colour was brown and it tasted bitter.

Founded in 1875, Charbonnel et Walker is one of Britain's earliest chocolatiers. Encouraged by Edward VII, (then the Prince of Wales), the company first formed as a partnership between Mrs Walker and Madame. Charbonnel hence the name Charbonnel et Walker.
They are endorsed by the Royal Warrant as one of the few chocolatiers to Her Majesty The Queen where iconic customers have included Princess Diana and Princess Margaret.

The chocolates are hand-made to the traditional recipes of Madame Charbonnel.
Their renowned dark chocolate is made from the finest dark couverture which results in a decadently rich taste.

As well as the packaging, the shape of the chocolates are captivating which make them great gifts.
There is also a special offer at the moment where you can get the cake by Jeffrey Koo.
{see FB for further details}

It was such a stylish cake to get as it was 60% dark chocolate which made it insanely rich and moreish.
