After openrice changed the website, the new restaurant list doesn't show up new restaurants like it used to.
It now shows new restaurants with the most reviews which is extremely annoying so you have to go to the very back of the list to see new restaurants which don't really show up and if you don't have the phone app, this website is pretty hard to use.
Drunkerland is obviously the land of drunks yet I was sober.
Anyway, my friend asked me to go to this new place so I thought cool, but when they said they were going for skewers it was not so cool.
They then reassured me, there was other stuff to eat!
Well there was Chips and gravy so I was sorted.
No pain, no gain!!
The drinks menu was really comprehensive, they had their own brewed beers and beers from different countries.
My friend had the house beer which in my opinion was very bitter, but the Hong Kong style glass was nice with the Lion Rock and Chinese wording on the back.
For me I had the Ar Me which was a sweet strawberry mocktail.
Lets start with the gravy and chips first because all I wanted to eat was the chips!!
The chips were a bit different, it was baked with cheese and rosemary on top with a side of gravy.
Quite nice!
The second dish that I really liked was the okra on ice served with wasabi soy sauce, it was simple was damn delicious.

The third dish that was amazing was the grilled fish, it was just divine on its own that it didn't need any sauce.
Well for me I was sorted because I got my fish and chips.
At first I thought it was fish covered in Mayo because the menu said that but mayo is a Chinese fish.
The rest of the stuff they ordered was grilled skewers which were crisp and grilled nicely with grilled pork belly, chicken skin, beef, cartilage and even the asparagus on the side was good.
There was Typhoon soft shell crab which was interesting because it came with a side of chopped onions, garlic and peppers which complemented it nicely.
The fried beancurd skins rolls were ok but a bit oily but the peppery sauce was the star of the show because it went well with the chips and other items.
An interesting beer joint with a bit of everything on the menu!
The chairs were stylish.
