Just for the Dutch pancakes
2017-01-21 949 瀏覽
Every since I saw pictures for the Dutch pancakes (pannekoek) I said to myself I have to go and try it so I did.
I don't think any where else in HK offers Dutch pancakes except Wired Cafe which serves the Dutch Baby that are slightly different.
I planned to order two different Dutch pancakes but the Dover Sole fish ruined my plan because it is one of my favourite fishes.

The Dover Sole is a European fish which I always eat in the UK but in HK it costs a bomb! Some restaurants serve it for $7xx but here it only costs $148.Thanks to Brexit, it is much affordable and you can get them at 759 but considering the size of the fish and tiny kitchens in HK, I decided not to buy it because my kitchen and frying pan is not big enough to cook it and I don't want to slice it in half.
In the end, I ordered the Dover sole and Avocado pannekoek.Other captivating panneokoek choices include lamb and cumin or salmon and dill.

Avocado pannekoek:
The pannekeok was huge as expected and you roll it up to eat.
Basically I felt it tasted like a Savoury British pancake with creamy avocado and zesty sundried tomatoes so I liked it pretty much.

The Dover Sole was delicious with a crispy surface and it tastes so good on its own that it doesn't really need any seasoning.
A lovely versatile fish that doesn't go fishy with a reasonable shelf life in the freezer.
The best part is the roe so don't throw it away.

After having such a delicious dinner, you can grab some sweeties before you go and they reminded me of the sweets at the newsagents in the UK.
Hello chucky !!
