A brilliant twist of Western and Chinese fusion

The pairing of Chinese and Western food often go wrong but the food here was spot on.
Before I came here, I assumed Bao Bei served dimsums and buns as one of the walls is plastered with dimsum baskets but it turns out not so.
Most of the dishes were mind blowing and flawless.
Here was the food we had:
++++++++++
Asian Style Brussels Sprouts:
I have always loved Brussels sprouts especially in roast dinners.
The ones here are stir fried with Chinese sausage which gives it sweet and salty flavour that balances the grassy aroma.

Mapo Tofu Fries:
This was like loaded fries but topped with spicy and juicy pork.

++++++
Rice Cake Carbonara:
I don't like carbonara but I found myself eating another piece after another because sauce was cheesy with pieces of parma ham and the texture of these rice cakes were soft which make them more palatable.

++++++
Char Siu and Egg Rice Burger:
I thought the best bit was the rice burger patty because it was mixed with seaweed.

Peking Duck Udon Pizza:

The udon pizza was a surprise because the udon was thin and crispy topped with generous smokey sauce and cheese.
++++++++++
Wild Mushrooms & Miso Cream Cannelloni:
I knew I was going to like this because I like anything made with pasta sheet and they were filled with wild mushrooms so it was vegetarian and light.
++++++++++
Baked Pineapple Bun with Curry Chicken:
I have to admit I am not a pineapple bun fan, but it turned out to be my cup of tea because it was a pie with a chicken inside it.
The chicken was tender and paired with the curry sauce.

Deep Fried Milk Pudding:
Finished with the fried milk pudding which was soft and supple milk pudding inside the crispy batter that was not too sweet.
