Eating from a Cauldron!!

Cauldrons also spelt Caldrons were found in the medieval times when people believed in Witches.
When I heard about this place, it aroused my interest as I thought it was going to be one of those themed restaurants/cafes but it turns out to be a Taiwanese Hotpot place.
It is located in TST so there are now two Taiwanese style hotpots.
On the menu, there are eight different hotpots and the LUNCH DEAL is really good because you can add $12 to get the Braised Meat Sauce Rice or the Sesame Onion Salted Fish Sauce Rice.
The Sesame Onion Salted Fish Sauce Rice is a must because it was so damn good, it was hot fluffy rice topped with finely diced crisp but sweet onions topped and minced salted fish that isn't too salty.

The Braised Meat Sauce Rice tasted better than anticipated because it was not sweet like other restaurants in Hong Kong and there was a fragrant shitaake mushroom taste.
For the hotpots, it was really difficult choosing one so ended up getting the spicy one and the house special.
I ordered the house special because it had my fave fermented tofu, duck blood and pork blood cake.
The glass vermicelli tasted really delicious as it absorbed the broth.
The Taiwanese spicy hot pot was also good because of the Sichuan style broth.
I really liked the cute dumplings in the spicy pot.
Finished with the drinks which were $8 extra for each.
The plant tea is not made of plant but topped with black biscuit crumbs aka soil hence the name.
It was nice and creamy topped with salted cream cap on top and the tea tasted like earl grey.
Hopefully the food is consistently good on the next visit as I do intend to come back for the rice.
