The right timing

It is all about the right timing for dimsum. I went around 3pm which is quite late but I purposely went at that time because it was less busy and definitely quieter.
They serve traditional dimsums so there were only a few dishes I liked.
When I sat down, the guy poured the tea in the washing bowl, so I thought to myself GREAT, he was going to wash it but it turns out he just poured it in there for me!~~

I had the steamed layered bun with coconut, custard egg yolk which was surprisingly good because it was not too sweet and the dessicated coconut was actually fragrant and tasty.
It brought back memories of these cocktail buns I had as a kid from Chinatown.

Next was this rare item "cha gwore" which is like a steamed mochi filled with peanuts, sesame and coconut, again it was fragrant and not too sweet.
It tasted like those grandma cha gwores!
A must grab if you see them because they are not often there according to the dimsum chef.

The flavouring of the roast pork was the best I had because you can taste lots of different flavours going on from the roasting to grilling of the charsiu, yet it was not too sweet but the only let down was the texture because it was too dry and hard.
The treasures wrapped in beancurd was not my cup of tea, there was a slice of pork chop, and a piece of sharp chicken bone which was part of a chicken leg I guess.
Hoping to return for the hargaus and sharks fin dumpling but the noise and having to be aggressive and shouting out puts me off.
Overall, it is a good experience and highly recommended to tourists because it is located in Central which is relatively more civilized than Kowloon.
I have yet to try The Chairman and the other expensive tea place down the other side of the road.
