Not what you think

At the beginning I thought this was a Chinese restaurant from the Chinese name and the cover picture on openrice made it look Cantonese with the seafood fish tank.
After clicking into the restaurant profile I realized it was Japanese from the name MISU.
The pictures of the food wasn't Chinese so I decided to try it as it was located conveniently on one of the floors at QRE on the corner of my favourite Lee Tung Avenue.
One of the must order items is the Japanese style Abalone because you will only get this by forking out on an Omakase meal!
The abalone is served with abalone liver sauce which is rich and strong, I must say I was very impressed with their liver sauce but you don't get a clump of rice to dip the unfinished liver sauce like you do in Omakase meals.
Next was the scallop on blini with caviar!
I just love blinis and caviar so the the scallop was a bonus and there was some pumpkin mash in between which mellowed out the saltiness from the caviar!
Misu have their own source for seafood hence they are able to serve fresh seafood at a good price.
The lobster was on promotion for $9x and it was succulent and springy.
I loved the taste and texture of the lobster because it was delicate like Red Prawns.
According to one of the guys at MISU, they said the lobster was Sashimi grade.
For the non-seafood dish, we had the suckling pig which was on a bed of apple puree.
Pork and apple are always a perfect match.
The suckling pig was to my liking as it was tender and the skin was thin and crispy without oiliness.
Dessert was shockingly good as I chose the Runny Honey Pancakes which I thought was pancakes dripped with honey but it had honeycomb candy which has this crisp but chewy texture followed by a bitter aftertaste that makes it not so sweet.
The pancakes were soft and fluffy which was heavenly with the caramel and cream cheese sauce in the middle.
Definitely a memorable meal because of the seafood and dessert.
