Times have changed!!!
What used to be a red light zone in Wanchai is now bustling with new eateries and restaurants.
I feel that I have to try every restaurant in Wanchai because I love this area,
There is something special about their menu because they offer these Chiuchow style patties where you can choose potatoes or taro!!
To me, I would describe them as Chiu Chow hash browns but their menu refers to them as cakes/dumplings.
As a carbs lover I got the TARO and POTATO.
Potato and dried shrimps patty:
The texture and taste is very different to hash brown in the sense that it was slightly chewy and crispy on the outside.
It was tasty as there were dried shrimps in it.
Taro Patty:
Again, the texture is similar to the potato one as it was chewy, however with the main ingredient being taro, it was slightly starchy but not dry.
Chicken with crispy leaves:
I was a little disappointed with this dish as it was a bit bland yet this is a common Chiuchow dish.
The ones I have tried before were tastier.
Bittermelon with spareribs and soy beans:
This dish was simple yet amazing because the bittermelon was soft and infused with pork.
The soybeans were delicious and I ended up drinking the broth as it wasn't too salty.
