This is a nice clean little store located in Hanghau, selling fishballs and other little snacks. Definitely worth a try as it is a snack branch from the big chain restaurant Yue Mic Ka.
The price of the items served such as fish balls, fish cake corners etc are local prices like the ones in the dai pai dong, but definitely cleaner.
So I ordered some curry fish cake corners, and fried shredded carrot cake.
The fish cake corners were good, however the carrot cake was full of oil.

[Review 147] Worth coming all the way!! 神廚館 God's Restaurant
Date reviewed on openrice: 03/07/2008
So bored, so decided to try this restaurant despite being located in an inconvenient place.
When I was arrived, I saw this little restaurant with its brightly colored banner.
The overall restaurant seemed pleasant and surprisingly neat and clean.
Without further ado, I ordered the signature Squid patty and rice with fish soup.
Fish soup:
White in colour with lots of spring onions and one piece of tofu puff.
Strong taste of white pepper, not much fish could be tasted.
Anyway not bad.
Squid patty, fried egg and rice:
The best combination, the squid patty was chewy, yet there were still bits of chopped chunks of squid. Pieces of carrots embedded in the patty. The taste of squid is obviously there.
Was so delicious combining the patty, egg and rice together in one mouthful.
I also poured the soy sauce provided, but it acted as a moistener, because the soy sauce was obviously watered down. Finally the shredded seaweed was a good decoration and enhances the overall seafood taste to it.

[Review 146] Pandan Drink @ 泰國人海南雞 Koon Thai Hai Nam Chicken
Date reviewed on openrice 25/06/2008
I didnt intend to eat here today, but i walked past and saw they had Tamarind juice and Pandan drink.
Hence I got the Pandan one, cos not many places serve this drink in hk.
The last time I had it, was in Elements, obviously at double the price.
Here it only costs $8
I will try the Tamarind one next time.

[Review 145] Happy restaurant and happy food @ 開心餐廳
Date reviewed on openrice 25/06/2008
So glad this place is finally listed, because the food is good.
I walked past and saw some people eating rice with fried egg and gravy,
lots of gravy too, so I sat down to try that dish.
They offer many combinations: egg and frankfurter sausage, sausage and chicken, beef steak and egg, served with gravy, black pepper gravy or sweetcorn sauce.
I have tried all the sauces, and think the original gravy is the best, although I think there is too much colouring in the gravy. I got some of the gravy on my thumb, and it stained it, hence u can imagine the colour of my intestines.
But anyway the egg is done just right, and you can eat the liquid yoke with the rice.
Reasonably prices around $2x, and a drink is included.

[Review 144] finally listed on openrice @ 大家姐 chez a grande soeur
Date reviewed on openrice 25/06/2008
Everytime I go past this snack bar, it is always full of people.
So I finally tried it and got hooked on their fried snacks.
They serve good quality fish siumai, not too soft and not too over steamed.
Their fried treasures are even better, big tofu stuffed with fish patty, the fried fish balls are also good, quite big too.
The chicken satay is also good too, sweet peanut sauce.

[Review 143] A little chaotic @ Typhoon
Date reviewed on openrice 20/06/2008
We walked in, and as there were only two waiters, it took us a while to get seated.
Asked for the set menu or any sort of menu, but they couldn't provide us with one, so the waiter basically verbally listed the three choices to us: roast spring chicken, pesto fuscilli, and duck hamburger.
So we ordered one of each.
Took quite a while to come. Anyway Typhoon is a subsidiary of Wildfire, which means that you can order food from the Big Ernies menu. In fact the duck hamburger is one of their sloppy joe burgers. Same with roast chicken.
Duck burger: grounded ducked meat covered in cheese in a bun, served with crunchy chips.
Roast chicken: a rather small portion, was only given the upper breast, and served with diced potato cubes in bacon gravy sauce.
Pesto fuscilli: lots of pesto and creamy mushroom.
Overall the restaurant is ok, but it is not so good sitting near the doors, as there are two bins, fuming with burning cigarette butts.

[Review 142] Spoiled by the weather!!! @ 吹水館 Chit Chat Oyster & Grill
Date reviewed on openrice: 18/06/2008
A really nice restaurant over looking the sea, however that day we chose to eat was raining heavily, so all we could see was heavy rain.
The restaurant in itself was dim too, so together with the weather, it felt very dark inside, not even a candle by the table.
Anyway ordered the toast with liver pate, warm scallop salad, main courses: roast ribs, game hen, pork chop.
Liver pate: High quality pate, so silky smooth it melts in your mouth, lightly flavoured, as good as the one in Marks and Spencers UK, but better.
Warm scallop: generous leaves and japanese dressing with sesame flavour, really delicately grilled scallops, so perfectly done, that there is no oily grilled taste it it.
Game hen:
cute quail sized chicken, but a little dry, the cranberry sauce was good, heavily cooked with wine.
Ribs: quite tender
Pork: Very big portion.
