Similar to Toppings, except this place has even more choice.
From cheese to toppings and sauces, there are so many choices to choose, and for that extra gourmet factor, you can pay a small price to add that too.
Cheese wise, as not many places serve burgers with blue cheese, here they have three blue cheeses to choose from: Danish blue, Roquefort and Stilton, and if your a pizza lover, there is Italian Mozarella.
The toppings here are also quite different, you can choose baked beans which give it that breakfast tone to it. Personally I chose Portabello mushroom, as the common mushrooms in the far east are button mushrooms and shiitake, not the European stuff. Anyway the portobello mushroom tasted really good, much better than the one at Burger Joint which was sour as if it was drenched in vinegar.
As my burger was lamb I also opted for extra hummus for that Mediterranean Kebab experience.
Then finally for my sauces, I picked the ones less served in other places which were Truffle cream and horseradish mayonnaise.
The burger was very neatly done, the toppings, ingredients, sauces were evenly laid out in the bun, making it easy to eat with your hands.
The only thing that didnt work well, was that I picked too many sauces and toppings, so a bit hard to distinguish the tastes of the different elements. Tasted good overall.
But given so much choice its hard not to save that choice for the next visit.
The only topping that couldn't be ordered was the Calves liver, which is only served in The spotted pig signature burger. So next time I will try that.

[Review 173] Hot dogs in Sai Kung @ 豬事狗 Juicy dog

Spotted this shop a while ago, at least 2 months I believe, but never open while I was in Sai Kung.
Finally when I went it on a week day lunch time, it was open, so I tried the hot dog with meat sauce, and changed the sausage to the pork and herbs one. Maybe next time I should try the plain one.
A bit messy to eat, as the sausage was a bit too big for the bun, and so much sauce. It was wrapped up nicely though. I prefer the hot dogs in Tsuen Wan.
They also do other dishes like pasta, which I saw being served and the cheese on top of it, is just sliced cheese slices not the real cheese.
Although there is one thing I really must try next time which is their Dr Peppers Soda’s, the Cel-Ray one (celery flavoured soda).

Came here on a week day afternoon to avoid the queues.
I ordered the popular fries with sour cream and extra seaweed powder,
didn't have to wait that long to get it.
I like the big cup it came in, a fair diameter, like a bowl, so that the fries do not cluster together and remain crispy.
The fries taste and smell strong of potato, and with the sour cream even yummy.
They taste like the fries in The big bite.
Can't wait to try a different topping/sauce next time.

[Review 171] Mac new chocolate pie @ 麥當勞

Not as good as it seems, but a good treat to eat something different in McDonalds.
Triangular shaped pie, of brown chocolate flakey pastry, actually the pastry dosnt taste of chocolate, slightly savory in taste.
When you take a bite, most of the chocolate filling is in the center and towards the bottom, so you need to take quite a few bites at the boring pastry to get to the chocolate filling.
The chocolate filling tastes more of cocoa than chocolate, but not too sweet.

[Review 170] Sweet n Sour chicken in a pub!! @ Carnegies

hmm I never thought I would be eating sweet and sour chicken in a pub, a dish that can be ordered readily in any Chinese cafe for lunch.
The other dish was spicy penne, and I wasn't up for anything spicy that day, hence I had the chicken. The soup was mushroom which tasted ok, the chicken was ok too.
Maybe I just went in on a wrong day, maybe next time the menu would be more interesting.

[Review 169] rainbow sandwiches @ Epoch Coffee Bar (灣仔)

After seeing some pics of the rainbow sandwiches, I specifically came here to try em.
They looked so cute, and tasted good too, basically they are pieces of cake cut into sandwiches filled with cream.
My favourite colour was the red one, as raspberry tasted the best, next was the chocolate one, but the filling was very heavy, just like the chocolate they use in their cakes. Then the rest i ate were orange, yellow (lemon), green (green tea), and pink (rose).
However I wished the pink one could have been grapefruit, as I am not a fan of rose.
Will come here again to try their other cakes.

Came here to have dinner before having some mid-autumn festival fun.
It was quite vibrantly decorated with flashing lights in the countryside.
The food is not so good, but the area and the atmosphere is OK.
Ordered the Thai noodles, tasted sweeter than other Thai noodles, there was not a piece of lemon or lime to be seen to add to it. As for the other dish, we had fried pineapple rice, curried prawn, sweet and sour pork. The fried rice tasted ok with fresh pineapple, but we thought it was a bit weird, because it contained chinese wax sausage in it, which made it totally Chinese and not Thai. The sweet and sour pork didn't really taste of sweet and sour, it was salty instead, although it did have a sweet and sour appearance being red. As for the curry, it was ok.
