Teresa New Life Coffee Shop is a coffee shop in remembrance of Teresa Tang, and also helping people with problems to fit in society.

Anyway, came for tea, so ordered the chocolate cake and coffee, while we sat down, the shop was continually filled with people coming and going. A lot of the people were willing to sit with others just like the Chinese cafes.

There were quite a range of cakes and little snacks such as tofu cheesecake, western soup, chicken wings and more.

All the way from Italy, a truly Italian coffee shop in Hong Kong, a menu loaded with choice and attractive pictures.
www.pascucci.it

It took me ages to decide, I wanted to try everything, luckily I could limit my choice to half, since as I don't not drink coffee, yet I was also tempted to try the yoghurt one, since the coffee is only a tiny amount.

Anyway I ordered the chilled Coconut Pas Ciock (chilled coconut chocolate), served exactly like the pictures, I liked it so much, because you can treat it as a drink or dessert.
My chocolate was thick as a smoothie, you could drink it with a straw or spoon it like a dessert. The texture was so light, almost like whipped cream, but lighter, with bits of super fine blended ice. The chocolate was so creamy, not the cocoa taste, and it had bits of desiccated coconut in it, as well as that, you can taste the aromatic flavor of coconut as well. On top were little pieces of dusted chocolate nuggets. The rum of the glass was dusted with coconut too. One cup is not enough!!!!!
I want more.

[Review 251] Better to try this in off-peak hours @ 西貢松記車仔麵 Sai Kung Chung Kee Che Chai Noodle

西貢松記車仔麵 Sai Kung Chung Kee Che Chai Noodle
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/better-to-try-this-in-off-peak-hours-e1974570

Came here on a busy weekend, expecting it to be a normal restaurant where you sit down and order, but it isn't.
Everyone has to queue outside the shop to choose their noodle and ingredients when they reach the counter, and then have it brought to their seat after ordering.

As it was the weekend, there was a long queue, so I came back on a weekday, fewer people, but still had to go through this business of choosing at the noodle counter.

Anyway I got my noodles, the noodles were rather soft, over soft I would say, with the soup base, it tasted a bit bland. I think next time I will just have the gravy without the soup, but I don't think it will be so soon. Even the car noodles at Anton street taste better, also more choice of ingredients.

[Review 250] Nice food and staff @ The Dog House

So good to see another pub styled place opening and serving lunch too.
Last time I came here, I forgot to bring my camera for the review I wrote on 5/2.

Ranging from Western food to Asian foods such as Portuguese chicken.

Anyway the usual soup/salad, drink is included with the set lunch, and it was a bonus to get fruit after the tea and meal.

Food wise, it was good, my friend chose Portuguese chicken and rice, which turned out be best, I was biased into thinking it would not taste good, because of all the HK styled ones being strong in coconut and sweetness. But here it tastes really really good.
Also the pasta was good, I did find a piece of small clamshell, but eating food with shell fish, you should be careful anyway.

So here are the pictures of Asparagus salad and grilled chicken with black pepper sauce for this visit.
The staff are very friendly, and they even let me borrow their pretty skirt, as I spilled some stuff on mine!!

[Review 249] Another Froyo joint like of Berrygood @ Yo Mama - Frozen Yogurt

Basically the same as Berrygood, except that they specialise in two flavours,
original and green tea. Topping wise, there is more choice on the candy side, ie coco puffs, rainbow cornflakes etc.

For the price, the portion is bigger here, or rather the cup is bigger.
Service wise, Berrygood has more heart to it.

[Review 248] Scary visit @ Ziafat Arabic Cuisine

15/02/2009 Ziafat Arabic Cuisine

Flat B, 6/F., Harilela Mansion, 81 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/scary-visit-e1973572

Getting to this place, you have to conquer the dodgy old style elevators, and dodgy people, but once you get up there, it is a fully furbished restaurant with Islamic Arabic decorations and writings.

Looking at the menu, the food is more Indian, but you have to be careful here, there are two menus.
It seems they will charge for the higher priced one, even though the food is the same.
There is a slight discrepancy, the mixed grill on the smaller menu is $85 and on the full menu is $120, but on the full menu there are chips in the picture, but when it was served, no chips were to be seen, but charged the $120 instead of the $85.

Also when you sit down, they place a bottle of water on your table, we did not drink it, thinking we will not be billed, however that was billed too, so we took the bottle of water away.

Food wise, the mixed grill was a bit dry, the only thing that was good was the Falafel, crunchy. But differed from Dragonfire's pictures, as the ones we got had sesame on top.

[Review 247] Sweet secret @ Vero Chocolates

Secretly located at Fenwick pier, a secluded place for chocolate to be discovered.

I came here for the signature Vero hot chocolate, melting solid chocolate top on top of strong cocoa hot chocolate.
It was fun watching the solid chocolate top melt and bubbling into the hot chocolate, taste wise a strong punch of rich cocoa, and not sickening at all.

I also tried the box of 9 chocolates, the flavours inside the box were Kalamansi mallow, Chinese Tangerine, Red Hazelnut, Pink Himalayan Caramel, and Apricot & Prune Scotch.

The Kalamansi was fun to eat, soft foamy marshmallow with a tangy green lime centre, the red hazelnut was presented like a mini cornflake crumble, bits of crunchy cornflakes and hazelnut covered in chocolate. The Apricot and prune was fruitier than I expected, as the fruit was not the dried type, but moist. The dusted caramel was the best, bursting liquid caramel oozing out of it.
