So glad there is joint here serving scrambled eggs just like Australian Dairy company in Jordan.I am sure there must be other places that do scrambled eggs just like that, however due to location and publicity, people may not know about them.
The joint here is mainly black and white in decoration, and maybe most of the furnishing and tiles are new, it felt so surreal, almost like a set from a film studio.
The uniform worn by the staff was white and new, the whole experience sitting there was everything was sharply contrasted.
Anyway back to the food, the menu is slightly clearer than ADC, they even have Halal beef too.
The staff were not pushy for us to order the food quickly, and gave us plenty of time to decide on what drinks to order.
One of the staff was extremely helpful, shifting the plates and collecting the plates to make space etc.
I was quite surprised the macaroni cooled down quite quickly, I assumed after I ate my scrambled eggs, it would still be hot.
The scrambled eggs had that consistent delicate texture, slightly gel form, it was not salty and complemented well with the ham.
The toast was thick cut and nicely buttered with salted butter.
As for the macaroni, it is just a filler like my friend said, when I was introduced to ADC.

Finally there is another branch in Kowloon, however I am still longing for an Island branch.

I got my fair share of fries today, poutine, classic and the veggie works.

They were not as good as the ones I tried at TST, they are somehow Hongkonised, they are slightly overfried and made crunchy to suit the Hong Konger's.

Other than that, their poutine is the best in Hong Kong, and I need to try the poutine at Chips republic too.

On my way here, I walked the wrong direction of Leighton Road, I thought it would be on the city side of along with Suzuki café etc. When I realised it, I walked all the way back and found it.

If you’ve had singing lessons with Star Plus’ Hxzry Wxxy, this place is just down stairs from it.

This place reminds me of play school, colourful tables and chairs, especially the kids table at the centre. There is a bench on the side for people to sit and mingle too, this place is filled with youthful vibes, a good little joint for ABC’s and BBC’s to hang out.
The staff there are probably ABC/BBC's.

There was a guy there in a suit, whom I thought was a patron, it turns out he is probably the owner as he started serving customers.

Anyway, I opted for all the flavours except mango in the same cup, and had the following toppings, blueberries, caramel chips and green raisins (rare in hk).
Apart from Berrygood, this is also another place that has variety, especially the toppings.
At Berrygood, the flavour variety is good such as Earl grey, pomelo, pomegranite.

The price of the yoghurt is on price per weight basis, a bit different from other places where it is charged per size. As it is weighed, they come up to the odd cents, it gives you a chance to get rid of those copper cents. If you don't have any cents, when you get your change with the odd cents, there is a tips box for you to put your unwanted change there.

When I was there, there was this famous make-up artist called Gary Chung, since the bench was communal, they have to sit on that bench too.

[Review 628] Relaxing weekend lunch @ Trafalgar

Firstly, I would like to thank Trafalgar for their Britishly gesture.

Came here for a weekend lunch, and decided to order traditional dishes rather than the set lunches.
It was quiet and relaxing for a good chit chat.

Ordered Toad in a hole, and chicken kiev.
The toad in a hole was served with mash and salad, and the chicken kiev was served with chips and stir fried vegetables.

Toad in a hole:
This was yorkshire pudding batter baked with sausages and served in rich onion sauce.
The dish was piping hot from the oven, and the mash was good.
I really liked the onion sauce, it went very well with the mash, in fact I contemplated ordering bangers and mash, but in the end I ordered this because of the yorkshire puddng, it would be great if there was more yorkshire pudding or some at the edges so when it is baked, it would be crispy.

Chicken Kiev:
Rolled chicken with butter and herb filling inside.
If you've had the bird's eye ones, they are escaloupe form, the ones served here are like two big rolls encrusted in bread crumbs and fried.
The whole kiev was quite crunchy and tender, but the butter in the middle didnt ooze out.
As for the chips, they were the lovely crunchy flat cut chips, and there was a generous pot of garlic mayonnaise sauce provided too.
The vegetables was good to balance out the dish, but slightly Asian style.

In general it is a good place to hang out over the weekends for a good long and relaxed lunch.

[Review 627] Tasteless soup @ 開心麵皇 Happy Face Noodles

Came here because of the noodle variety and the good reviews about their non MSG soups served with noodles.

Anyway I picked whelks in black pepper sauce, clams in Sake sauce, Abalone in Oyster sauce, squid ink noodles with various of toppings.

Whelks:
these were slightly over cooked, but reasonably clean, had bits of crushed black pepper corns, tasted ok, however the portion was a bit small.

Clams:
these tasted the best, strong sake sauce, the clams were slightly different in anatomy to other clams, but not sure in what way.

Abalone:
tasted like canned abalone, but at that price what can you expect, and also it was sliced for easy eating.

Noodles:
Ordered two squid noodles, both in fish soup, however the one I had was so bland, it was like water.
Totally bland compared to the reviews saying how good it was.
As for my topping, i chose pigs blood, bamboo pith, and fresh yam.

For drinks, the red / green juice was ordered, there was a white one too.
Basically they were made from the relevant coloured fruits, it was quite a big glass for $12.

I have had take outs from this place regularly and its ok, but dining there isn't that good, firstly there is a pesky little fly that keeps flying towards your food.

Secondly, the cucumber wasn't that fresh, it looked like it had been refrigerated along time, it was nearly translucent and slightly dehydrated.
But everything else was ok, the Salmon and the garlic bread.
