Walked past and saw this cute shop selling confectionery and skin care products made of Chocolate.
It reminded me of LUSH and SKINFOOD.
Although they specialise in chocolate skin care, they have chocolate confectionery too such as chocolate and nuts, a big range on yoghurt covered berries, chocolate covered nuts and gift sets.

For the yoghurt-covered fruit, there were cranberries, strawberries, pineapples, cherries, blueberries, raspberries and nuts too.

The ones that had real dried fruit were pineapple, blueberry, cherry and raspberry, the strawberry and cranberry were like a berry version of maltesers.

They are said to be able to keep for a year without going off, but Hong Kong is a hot and humid place, which makes it difficult and the fact you cant stop eating them!
Yoghurt covered dried fruit and nuts are very common and cheap in the UK, infact you can get them at Pick and Mix stalls.

The staffs at the shop had pretty eyes and spoke good English.

Chocolate almond:
This was very impressive, there was a good ratio of chocolate and almond, and it was not too sweet, I was told it had a slight savoury taste. It is a good one to start off with, because the taste isn’t so intense.

Chocolate covered nuts:
My favourite was the brazilian nut, they had chocolate sunflower seeds too!

Yoghurt covered fruits:
Overall they were good, the texture of the yoghurt coating was a bit like marzipan, and sugary icing.
The taste was not too sweet or overpowering and it complements the fruit.
The pineapple was nice, but I found the texture of the pineapple bit too moist and soft.

The cherry and blueberry were the best, especially the blueberry because it had a strong taste, and it was slightly chewy too and the berries are not freeze dried.

For the raspberry it was a whole freeze-dried berry inside which gives it a different experience and the coating was decorative too. It is similar to the Japanese versions.

The cranberry and strawberry ones were like berry maltesers!

Anyway the white yoghurt covered ones are a must try, because the yoghurt covering is different from the Japanese sugary ones.

I was quite surprised there hadnt been any reviews and it wasnt listed, despite it is right next to Crumbs, Kami Teapresso, that new taiwanese grilled cakes and Roll across the road.

Despite it is called Yuen Long jing gay, there are no shops in Yuen Long
Basically this noodle joint in the food court specialises in the mouth numbing hot and sour Sichuan noodles.
As well as the standard rice noodles (mai sin), they also a do a thinner type of noodles called “dragon beard noodles”.
I got the dragon beard noodles and picked two sides, the soft bone pork and spicy ground julienne potatoes.
The bowl of noodles was presented nicely and came with lots of other treasures such as pickled vegetables, beancurd skin, beanshoots etc.
The noodles were the best, but as you eat them, they become softer from absorbing the soup, and the soup gets thicker from the starchiness from the noodles.
Apart from noodles served in broth, there is also the one in sauce, which is good as well, however the sauce one is slightly oily.
Although there are not many reviews, there are many people queuing up for it and I like the way they can served their noodles not spicy for people who want to try Sichuan noodles.

Usually when I walk past the food looks inviting and sometimes not, this time the bittermelon and red beancurd looked delicious so I got them.
The red beancurd was strong and creamy yet not greasy. I wish I was given more tofu though as it was mainly vegetables.
The bitter melon was soft and cooked well, not too bitter.
With rice, you can either choose two main dishes or three.
The curry fried rice was nice too, but too hot as it contained grounded chili powder.

Previously visited the Mong Kok branch.
http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=2151238

This time walked past the TST branch, so decided to try the other set which has a chicken drummette, couldnt tell from the picture if it was a chicken drumstick or a drummette, and also the chinese didnt know what it said.
It turned out to be a chicken drumette in the end.

Although the guy from MK said the chicken drumette wasnt spicy, it turned out to be spicy.

The rest of the fried stuff tasted ok.

In comparison to the MK branch, the staff here were not as organised as the MK branch, they didnt really know their product range.
Also there was less people and the food took longer to arrive.

There are not many restaurants in this mall, but the first time I came here was specifically to try Cheese Pizza.
Café 100% seemed quite interesting as a first impression, so went in to try it.
After browsing the menu, found out it was part of a chain that includes: Pebbles, T.Pot and Forbidden City but I couldn’t find any of them on Openrice.
The items on the menu were nothing spectacular, although the curry “seems” good so ordered that and the signature chicken.
The price however was a bit expensive considering the food was rather boring.
The chicken was dry and tough, the soup was luke warm, and the curry was lumpy.
The staff dress code was interesting though, it was dark navy blue, the guys looked like they were car mechanics.
The chili sauce was cute though, the packaging was shaped like a chili bottle.

[Review 1005] Slightly overpriced, but the beef was nice @ 台灣牛肉麵 Taiwan Beef Noodle

I don’t usually eat beef, but the beef broth here looks strong and also they serve the new bamboo rice vermicelli.

Went during the public holidays and a tiny dish of peanuts was placed on the table, the first sentence the waitress greeted was “It is the holidays so they are compulsory”

Ordered beef shin with new bamboo rice vermicelli, and the other one with the standard noodles.

The other one arrived first, and the noodles for that were similar to Udon, but thinner, the texture was slightly al dente.
Later the beef shin noodles arrived, and with it came another dish with pickled vegetables, however they should of came with the first bowl of noodles as well.

The pickled vegetables were nice, chopped up too finely, however the portion was minuscule.

Overall the noodles were ok, the broth wasn’t as strong as I expected, but the beef was good considering I generally don’t order beef.
The beef shin had interesting layers, it was like eating layers of tender beef and tendon sandwiched together. The gelatinous looking stuff was not chewy either.

Since the soup wasn’t that strong, the noodles tasted a bit bland.

For Kowloon city, I felt that the noodles were slightly overpriced and the portions could have been bigger.

[Review 1004] Apple muffin @ McCafe

The apple muffin had a sweet smell unlike other muffins, you could actually smell the cinnamon and apple.

It was quite a large muffin, the top of the muffin was rather dry, but the taste was packed with sweetness and cinnamon.
I thought there would be pieces of apple embedded within the muffin but there were none.
I was then surprised to find apple filling in the middle of the muffin, however it was too sweet.
If the muffin weren’t so dry, then it would have been good all the way through.
