Compared with other Japanese curries, this one has to be the cheapest.
Anyway I gave it a revisit to try the omlette curry and the deep fried pork cutlet curry.
At first I was quite iffy about the ketchup on the egg, but in UK I would put ketchup in my curry.
However the curry in UK is different, it is not sweet like the Asian ones.
The egg was cooked nicely and not overdone, and the cheese on top gave it some flavour.
The pork cutlet was a bit greasy and dry.

A good place for Chinese roast pork when it has just been roasted.
It is very juicy and soft and the sauce is not as sweet as other places.
I have dined here along time ago, but I found the menu confusing and expensive, so this time I just ordered plain roast pork.

Walked past and saw these Hand made Thai sausages.
Usually they are over grilled, but today they were golden brown so I got one to try.
FIRST VISIT
I really liked it because the filling inside the sausage was made up of glutinous rice, glass vermicelli and grounded wax sausage meat.
It had a very wholesome texture just like a real pork sausage.
It would have been healthier than a real pork sausage, but it was just as oily.
It was quite an interesting experience eating this sausage, when you bite into it, there is a strong smell which is the same as the CHINESE WAX SAUSAGES, however it tastes nothing like it, then the next smell that comes is the fragrant glutinous rice.
It is quite appetizing as well because it tastes tangy.
However, these sausages can be inconsistent, it depends on the ratio of the wax sausage meat they put in.
I prefer less of it because I do not like the smell, but I love the vermicelli and glutinous rice.
Second visit:
I also tried the grilled chicken, it also had a tangy taste.

I have always wanted to try THW, but the one at MK has a long queue and I don’t fancy going to the other branch in SSP.
Thankfully one has opened in Central.
The location is brilliant because it is located on the lower level of the Airport express.
People who have just arrived or leaving HK can dine there for Michelin class dimsum.
Not only that, you are sheltered from the sun, heat, heavy rain or cold encountered at the long queues in MK.
I was slightly disappointed because they did not have crispy thing with wasabi.
Ended up ordering four dishes.

After reading the reviews, it was considered lucky if the waiters did not treat you with a bad manner.
Knowing that, I went on a weekday during off peak hours late in the afternoon but just before dinnertime started.
It was on Queen’s road near the blue house, the outside of the restaurant looked very old.
When I went in, the interior and everything was old too, there was only two customers when I arrived so I sat down on one of the tables because there was no waiter there to tell me where to sit.
It was really good because they had an English menu and I could take my time deciding what to order.
Usually HK waiters’ rush you to order, but since it was off-peak hours, I had to wait for the waiter to finish his duties before I could order.
I wanted to try this place especially because of the donkey meat, fish dumplings, shredded chicken with vegetable rice and the spring onion sauce.
They didnt have the fish dumplings so I ordered: sliced donkey meat, lamb and spring onion dumplings, Hawthorn drink, shredded chicken with vegetable rice.
I do not know who the famous bad tempered one is, but the one who served me was smiling.
The food arrived fairly quick and was served in the typical blue white chinaware.
The bowl of rice was huge which was enough for two people, I have never seen a big blue white china bowl in that size before.

Sliced donkey meat
The donkey meat was flavoured by the so-called Chinese Five-spice powder.
Five-spice powder is basically a mixture of five spices star anise, cloves, Chinese cinnamon, Sichuan pepper and fennel seeds.
The texture of the meat looked and tasted like Pastrami, however it was sliced thickly, the gelatinous layers were thick too, and there was some jelly on the edges as well.
I was expecting it to taste gamey, but it wasn’t, it tasted exactly like pastrami.
I think it would also taste good with western mustard sauce.

Finally the last McRib burger in the series is out!
Out of the three: Shogan, McPepper and the McRib, the McRib has to be my favourite, because I like the combination of the maize bun, pork patty, thick BBQ sauce and onions.
A spider/crab?
Anyway, when I took the picture, I found the onions and guerkins were arranged in a cute way, it looked like a crab/spider.
I didn't think it was deliberate by McD's.
The onions were not diced or cut into smaller pieces, it was convenient to eat without pieces of onion falling out.
I picked out the guerkins.
Overall the BBQ sauce was lovely and thick and the pork patty was nice and soft complement by the yummy crunchy onions.

Chicken Tikka is the best, a good old English favourite.

I love the sandwiches here, they are made fresh and warmed for you.
Chicken Tikka is the best, a good old English favourite.
For bread there is a choice of white or brown.
Also got the beef and mustard which is another delicious one.
