I was really surprised this place had an English menu.
Although it did'nt make sense but at least they put effort into it.
Ordered the congee, rice rolls with dried shrimps, rice roll with fried dough sticks and a soup.

When the the waiter bought over the soup, he sung out the name of the soup.
It just sounded exactly like Chinese Opera, but as there were some people from ChiuChow on that table they said it was ChiuChow style opera, anyway whatever it was, it all sounds the same to me.

The seaweed was clean and there was no sand, however it was so hot, it needed cooling down.
There was lots of Chinese coriander and celery in it too.
It was nice however it was too salty

Too soft and not cut properly.

Tasted good with the soy sauce and bean sauce.

Overall the rice rolls depended on the sauces heavily but the sauces tasted watered down and tasteless.

The air conditioning was really annoying because it made the rice rolls cold as soon as it was served.

Last time tried the fried luncheon meat with egg and this time I came back for the noodles because this shop specialises in noodles as well.
Basically you choose the type of noodles and the three items to go with it.
I chose the thin noodles with pork blood curds, Vietnamese sausage and abalone.
The noodles were really nice and the broth was not MSG spiked, I picked curry sauce as well which was placed on top, the curry sauce was quite spicy.
The pork blood and Vietnamese sausage were fresh so they tasted nice.
As well as noodles, tried the pork chops.
As you can see it is slightly oily!

Although this branch is crap in the daytime, it is open for 24 hours and after 9pm, the menu is slighty different.

After 9pm they have the double decker fish burger so I ordered that.

It was really good because there were two fish filets which made it wholesome.
Next time I order, I am going to request for more sauce because there was not enough sauce in proportion to the fish so it was quite dry.
I wish they had two slices of cheese as well to give it some extra saltiness and taste cheesier.

Previously I went before the renovation for the curry buffet, but it was only available on weekdays which was quite inconvenient.
Now it is available on Saturdays as well.

I was looking forward to the pork terrine but it wasnt there that day, but the roast potatoes were good and I was surprised they had the Philipino dessert {Brazo mercedse} which is meringue with some custard in the middle [The exact stuff I got from Quezon].
The muffins were also good as well.

Had a craving for prawn dumplings and this place happened to have it when I walked past so decided to go in for it.
This joint has another branch in Yuen Long which is quite a different location to Tai Hang.
I had forgotten about those usual habits such as washing chopsticks and cups until the staff placed a set of utensils with water to clean them.
I suppose it was good because Chinese tea was not compulsory but it only costs $3 for a pot of tea which was good.
While I was browsing the menu found out they had sharks fin dumpling so ordered that as well.

Prawn dumplings
I thought there would be four per steamer but there was only three.
Anyway the filling was nice but I did not like the dumpling skin, it was too elastic and chewy, the same type they use for Chiuchow style dumplings.

Sharks fin dumplings
This was really nice but there was a weird taste to it which I got rid of by adding Worcester sauce.

This is stir fried lettuce with fried dace, it was really nice and not oily at all.
The saltiness was just right.

Not sure what this was, but it reminded me of Chop Suey that is spicy.

Previously came here for dessert but now they have more options for lunch.
I was surprised to find out they have another joint near Brim 28.

Anyway they have extended their opening hours too.

The steamed dumplings looked good so I tried that, there are three types and I chose the seafood one.
The dumplings tasted really nice but they were steamed for too long because the dumpling skin broke every time you picked it up and the fillings fell out.
The filling were really nice, it had scrambled egg and prawns and the filling was filled with so much juice due to the steaming.
There was a sachet of vinegar with ginger sauce for the dumplings too which made it more appetizing.
The dumplings came with a can of grass jelly drink which was good because it was not the boring Lemon Teas or HK beverages.
I found it too sweet but after diluting it the drink was really nice.
