I used to like the food at the Wan Chai branch before they closed down, so I rarely go to Oliver's these days.
Anyway happened to be nearby so decided to try the Honey Cajun chicken mozzarella walnut apple sauce wrap.
I was really disappointed because it didn't taste as nice as I was expecting.
The apple sauce was too sweet and the overall taste was too salty and what made it worse was that it was quite expensive.
I just felt that the tastes had been adjusted to suit the locals especially with its location in Shatin.
It would have tasted great if the flavouring was not so intense because the paring of apple, walnuts and cajun chicken were good.
If they used fresh apples instead of apple sauce it would taste even more refreshing.

[Review 1713] Scrambled egg with spinach and mushroom @ 匠 Mazter

Previously I have tried this place for Japanese food and now they are serving breakfast so I went there to try their breakfast.
Apart from this branch, they now have another branch at Sunshine City plaza in Ma On Shan and Tuen Mun.
Before I went, I was not expecting many people having their breakfasts there because the food during lunch and dinner is quite expensive.
However when I got there the restaurant was almost full, but the prices were reasonable around $20-$30 per set.
The only problem was that they only had 1-2 waiters to take the orders and bring out the breakfasts so off putting if you are in a rush or they are intending to turn people away so they don't have to work.
After ordering, it took a while for the breakfast to arrive.

Scrambled egg with spinach and mushroom
It looked as nice as the product picture but the egg was tasteless and there was no salt or pepper on the table.
The spinach leaves in the scrambled egg were half cooked and the mushrooms were the only items that tasted good in the scrambled egg.
The piece of toast that came with it was pretty standard, buttered with margarine and tasting slightly sweet because the bread was sweet.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tea
Just the usual Hong Kong style milk tea!

After finishing I went out to pay but the waitors were too busy to take the money at the till chatting to another waitor.

[Review 1712] C-In Drinks @ 吸飲餐飲連鎖 C-In Drinks

吸飲餐飲連鎖 C-In Drinks
旺角西洋菜南街2A號銀城廣場地庫B11-12舖
Shop B11-12, Ginza Plaza, 2A Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mong Kok
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/c-in-drinks-ginza-plaza-e2253492
C-In drinks is located at the basement of Ginza Plaza, a convenient and good location for shop keepers and shoppers at Ginza Plaza who get thirsty and a little peckish.
Although I recieved the invitation a while ago when they opened, I only managed to go recently and they are doing quite well.
They already have regular customers with a VIP card that allows them to get discounts.
Before going I checked out their website to see what drinks and snacks, I was quite looking forward to some local Taiwanese snack however it was not available yet.
Although I am not sure what the snack is meant to be, but it looks like some rice in glutinous dumpling.
I tried the taro milk bubble and thick toast with chocolate.
The taro drink was really nice, instead of pearls they had taro flavoured coco de nata which matched the taste more.
The toast was nice and thick, however I felt there was too much sauce which made it too sweet and difficult to handle if you are not sitting down.
But overall I liked the toast.
C-In drinks was established in Taiwan since 2008 and now they are in Hong Kong!
On my next visit I am going to try the chocolate series with cream.
The staff were really good because they asked the shop next door to turn down the volume as it was too loud instead of asking the customer and the people on the phone to speak louder.

[Review 1710] $20 Indomie noodles with grass jelly drink @ 雅涴粉麵茶餐廳

https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/20-indomie-noodles-with-grass-jelly-drink-e2252712
I ordered the indomie noodles here because it was fun seeing people have fun putting in the powder and condiments themselves.
The condiments are served separately saving time for the chef and letting the customers have the fun of adding the condiments in the noodles.
The noodles were hot when they were brought over, however because of the strong air conditioning I had to add the condiments swiftly before the noodles got cold.
Basically there are four sachets: chili sauce, thick sweet/bitter soy sauce, oil and some powder flavouring.
I should have added less powder because it was quite salty but overall the noodles tasted nice however these noodles are quite coarse and hard.
It was really good they supplied a pair of scissors to cut the sachets.
After finishing the noodles I had the grass jelly drink which was too sweet for my liking so I only ate the grass jelly cubes and the amount of grass jelly in the drink was quite generous.

Again the curry was flawless, I chose the non spicy curry with okra and tofu cubes.
The curry sauce tasted like gravy and not sweet like the other Japanese curries.
However compared to the okra curry I had at TST, the amount of okra on this plate was abysmal.
The okra was sliced so thinly that it was almost non existent.

I have never liked food in Sai Kung because it is frankly a rip off and some of the seafood is not local.
The siu mai here was over steamed, the skin stuck to the steamer and tore when it was picked up with chopsticks.
The sweet and sour pork was made with dry and tough pieces of pork
The crab e-fu noodles was the only item that looked Ok, and as expected for seafood restaurants it was real crab meat and not surimi meat, however the crab was not that fresh.
The sweet corn soup was naturally sweet itself but they added sugar to it making it worse.
nice chipped chinaware!
The pork was oily, fatty and dry.
