A the shop, they have samples of their meals they serve each day.
Basically what you see is what you get and its really good they have at least one vegetarian meal.
However the meals are sold out really fast!
Even the last display item it reheated and sold, but the good thing is if it is not on display you won't get disappointed for ordering something and then being told it is not available.
The food tastes home cooked and the soup is the best.
My favourite one is the vegetarian chicken steak because I get the occasional craving for the unami taste that you get from vegetarian steaks.
However the oil was not fresh, so the vegetarian chicken steak had a slight oil odour.
The soup is nice and light and it does not contain MSG.

[Review 1717] Good selection of sushi @ Take Out Sushi 壽司屋的Q仔

壽司屋的Q仔 Take Out Sushi (灣仔)

Found out about this branch when I picked up a leaflet from their branch in Fortress Hill.
The sushi price is around $4 - $6 per piece which costs slightly more than Sushi Express.
However there is more choice here such as ark shell sushi and raw scallop sushi which I cannot choose at Sushi Express unless I buy the pack which has a fixed selection.
As well as sushi they sell some really cute sushi stickers which are tiny.
The sushi was nice and fresh especially the ark shell clam and the scallop and the rest were as good as Sushi Express.0
Although I am not fond of cooked scallop but I picked it because it had the orange part.

[Review 1716] Stir fried thick noodles @ 美食吧

I was surprised the whole set of staff had gone and there are a new set of faces.
The menu is slightly different too!
They had stir-fried car noodles [鐵板炒車仔粗麵] which was interesting so I tried that.
I tried the stir fried thick noodles and it was a different taste because these noodles are usually served in soup or boiled and served with oyster sauce.
There was no alkaline taste and after it was stir-fried there was a nice aroma from the other ingredients such as the five spice pork cubes and satay beef.
The noodles were also stir-fried with julienne carrots and beanshoots.

[Review 1715] Fried chicken @ 暖粒粒 Cube Square

灣仔柯布連道3號地下

https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/fried-chicken-cube-square-e2253523
Came back for the fried chicken which costs $18 for two pieces.
I was expecting it not to be spicy but it was, there was some chili powder on the outside.
The MSG taste was quite strong and there was strong aniseed taste as well.
The inside was not cooked thoroughly because there was still some blood near the bones.
IMPROVEMENTS:
I feel that they should have an order slip or some sort of instruction because they share a cashier with the drinks joint next door. Last time I paid they did not know what products they had so the staff had to waste time to tell them so that they could enter that item in the system.

[Review 1714] Honey Cajun chicken mozz walnut apple sauce wrap @ Oliver's Super Sandwiches

I used to like the food at the Wan Chai branch before they closed down, so I rarely go to Oliver's these days.
Anyway happened to be nearby so decided to try the Honey Cajun chicken mozzarella walnut apple sauce wrap.
I was really disappointed because it didn't taste as nice as I was expecting.
The apple sauce was too sweet and the overall taste was too salty and what made it worse was that it was quite expensive.
I just felt that the tastes had been adjusted to suit the locals especially with its location in Shatin.
It would have tasted great if the flavouring was not so intense because the paring of apple, walnuts and cajun chicken were good.
If they used fresh apples instead of apple sauce it would taste even more refreshing.

[Review 1713] Scrambled egg with spinach and mushroom @ 匠 Mazter

Previously I have tried this place for Japanese food and now they are serving breakfast so I went there to try their breakfast.
Apart from this branch, they now have another branch at Sunshine City plaza in Ma On Shan and Tuen Mun.
Before I went, I was not expecting many people having their breakfasts there because the food during lunch and dinner is quite expensive.
However when I got there the restaurant was almost full, but the prices were reasonable around $20-$30 per set.
The only problem was that they only had 1-2 waiters to take the orders and bring out the breakfasts so off putting if you are in a rush or they are intending to turn people away so they don't have to work.
After ordering, it took a while for the breakfast to arrive.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Scrambled egg with spinach and mushroom
It looked as nice as the product picture but the egg was tasteless and there was no salt or pepper on the table.
The spinach leaves in the scrambled egg were half cooked and the mushrooms were the only items that tasted good in the scrambled egg.
The piece of toast that came with it was pretty standard, buttered with margarine and tasting slightly sweet because the bread was sweet.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tea
Just the usual Hong Kong style milk tea!

After finishing I went out to pay but the waitors were too busy to take the money at the till chatting to another waitor.

[Review 1712] C-In Drinks @ 吸飲餐飲連鎖 C-In Drinks

吸飲餐飲連鎖 C-In Drinks

Shop B11-12, Ginza Plaza, 2A Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mong Kok
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/c-in-drinks-ginza-plaza-e2253492
C-In drinks is located at the basement of Ginza Plaza, a convenient and good location for shop keepers and shoppers at Ginza Plaza who get thirsty and a little peckish.
Although I recieved the invitation a while ago when they opened, I only managed to go recently and they are doing quite well.
They already have regular customers with a VIP card that allows them to get discounts.
Before going I checked out their website to see what drinks and snacks, I was quite looking forward to some local Taiwanese snack however it was not available yet.
Although I am not sure what the snack is meant to be, but it looks like some rice in glutinous dumpling.
I tried the taro milk bubble and thick toast with chocolate.
The taro drink was really nice, instead of pearls they had taro flavoured coco de nata which matched the taste more.
The toast was nice and thick, however I felt there was too much sauce which made it too sweet and difficult to handle if you are not sitting down.
But overall I liked the toast.
C-In drinks was established in Taiwan since 2008 and now they are in Hong Kong!
On my next visit I am going to try the chocolate series with cream.
The staff were really good because they asked the shop next door to turn down the volume as it was too loud instead of asking the customer and the people on the phone to speak louder.
