The Manuka honey chiffon cake flavour was new so tried it.

Manuka honey chiffon cake HKD14:

I was expecting it to taste horrible but it was actually quite nice.
The cake slices they had before that was honey flavoured was gross and had a strong butter taste.
However this new chiffon cake was much nicer, the butter taste was not there and it was lovely and soft.
The sweetness was just right and the manuka fragrance was very strong and you could taste strong manuka honey in it.
The only negative comment was that it was too oily.

The cakes here are always inconsistent especially the sweetness.

Luckily it was nice this time, it was soft and the sweetness was right.
Sometimes the cake is so dehydrated and too sweet.

Found out there was a pandan flavoured choux creme so came here to get it.
Luckily there were still two left so I just got one.

Pandan Choux Creme:

The colour of the pandan cream in the middle was almost bright green!
It was quite messy to eat because the cream was quite heavy and the choux bun was really light.
I tried the pandan cream which did have pandan taste but the taste of the whipped cream was stronger so the filling was a bit too sickly.
Luckily the sweetness was not too sweet.

The braised beef was really tender and soft.
There was strong aniseed spices and cardamon.
It was really good the beef was sliced into thin slices.

Seaweed soup:

The seaweed soup was quite nice but there was a fair amount of MSG.
The seaweed was quite clean and did not have much sand.

I am not a fan of Vietnamese food but the desserts here are delicious and there is a good range of desserts here compared to other Vietnamese restaurants.

Cassava pudding:

I was surprised this pudding was served hot and not cold.
The taste of this dessert was actually more delicious hot because the smell was much more fragrant.
Cassava is a root vegetable and in some South east countries they slice them in thin slices to make cassava crisps.
It can also be grounded and made into a dessert such as this pudding.
The sweetness was just right and if it was not sweet enough there was some syrup beside it.

This place was cramped and noisy but the pasta sets were ok.

The pasta they used was tagliatelle and it was al-dente. The tomato sauce was nice and tangy.
The onions were nice but they could have been sliced into smaller pieces.

The chocolate milkshake was watery and did not have much milk. The chocolate taste was quite strong however it was too sweet.

The takeaways here are dirt cheap and fast which cost $22 per box!
If I am going to buy Chinese food which I expect to be disappointing I might as well go for the cheaper ones and have less disappointment so I went for the $22 box today!
All their food is cooked and boxed ready in a pile so they just pack it in bags and they are ready to go.
The appearance of this shop was quite old and inside it looked grey and gloomy.
However if they redecorated it, I doubt the food would be this cheap.

Chicken leg in black pepper sauce:
 When you see chicken leg on the menu, it is quite good because in general Chinese people prefer chicken leg meat, but for takeaways they are so hard to eat with chopsticks.
The gravy was delicious. It is similar to the gravy at the KFC's in other countries and the black pepper was not too strong.
