Chose this restaurant because they had the stir-fried silver pin noodles.

Stir fried silver pin noodles:

The noodles were nice and al-dente, not too salty or oily but the oil odour in the noodles were strong.
So if you like these type of noodles with that so called “wok hei” then you will like it.
"wok hei" is the smokey flavouring in the food as a result of being cooked in a wok, just like the charred taste you get from grilling, hard to explain but the "wok hei" taste is definitely not my cup of tea especially when some woks are not cleaned properly.

black eyed bean soup :
The bean taste was faint and there was CFC odour in the soup from the CFC bowl.

Eel in black pepper sauce:

The rice was really soggy and the eel did not taste that fresh.
The black pepper sauce was too strong.
The eel had some bones in it.

The lemon tea was quite nice and the tea was not that bitter.

Out of all the King Bakery branches, this one looks the best and it is quite colourful as well.
They had the pandan cake so I went in to get it, as well as pandan, they had yuzu and marbled cake flavour.

The cake was too sweet and oily and you could taste peanut oil as well.

Mixed Hong Kong style coffee and tea:

The drink which I did not have any expectations turned out to be the star.
I am not sure whether it was nice because it was chilled, but the drink was really smooth and tasted like chocolate coffee and you could not taste the bitterness of the tea.
To be honest, I got the drink because the bottle was nice!

Got these cheese pontikeges at Red cherry bakery.

When I picked them up with the cake pinchers they felt quite hard so I was not expecting them to be soft.
It was probably late that day as well so they had probably deflated and became hard.
The pontikege was quite chewy and I was disappointed because the cheese taste was really light but the smell of cheese was stronger.
It just tasted slightly salty.

I never eat coconut tarts because they are hard and sweet.
The tart is made up of almost 100% desiccated coconut and reminds me of the Bounty chocolate bar.
I was attracted to this one because its appearance was different and looked like a cake.

The coconut tart was lovely and moist in the centre and soft too.
The sweetness was just right and it was half like a cake and half like a tart.
There was about 70% of desiccated coconut in it.
The cake casing was interesting, it seems they use the pumpkin print all year round.

They also sell cookies and egg tarts and the egg tarts look quite nice, maybe I will try that next time,

On my last visit I got the oyster omelette, this time I got the four treasures because it seemed quite substantial for $30 because you get pork chop, BBQ roast pork, egg and even luncheon meat!

Four treasures:

When I opened the box, it was jam packed with a piece of pork chop, BBQ roast pork, fried egg and luncheon meat.
Although I do not like meat, I liked the egg and luncheon meat, there were a few pieces of roast pork that were lean.
The pork chop had been over done.
The egg yolk was still runny and tasted delicious with the rice and luncheon meat.

While I was waiting for food, I noticed their homemade pulley for the door because the original one does not work, they have used a basket of coins to hold down the door when no one is using it.

Had the afternoon tea set here and you can choose from instant noodles, thin noodles, Korean sliced rice cakes and potato noodles with a choice of broth and topping.

Rice cake in Miso soup with tofu

I chose the miso soup base with korean sliced rice cakes with tofu because they seem to be famous for the tofu.
The miso broth was lovely and strong.
The sliced rice cakes were nice and chewy but did not really absorb the broth, and the tofu was not as nice as I expected.

Noodles in pork broth with spicy kimchi pork



The type of noodles they used was quite good, it was similar to tagliatelle.
The pork was really spicy.
