Got this lovely box of chocolates from Mjqueen7e which were in a really pretty pearl pink box.
The lid was pearly pink and the bottom of the box was silver.

I just couldn't wait to devour them and winter is the best time for chocolates in Hong Kong because they are not melted.

The chocolate on the left was milk chocolate, and the chocolate on the right was dark chocolate made up of four chocolate spheres co-joined together to form a square.

Usually I start off with the bitter chocolates first but this time I started with the milk chocolate one first because I wanted to taste the full bitterness of the dark chocolate after.

Crispy hazelnut milk chocolate:

The chocolate was made up of crispy toasted rice pieces and hazelnut pieces held together by milk chocolate.
I really liked it because the hazelnut had hazelnut taste because some hazelnuts these days can taste stale and tasteless yet these hazelnuts still had that crunch too.

Dark chocolate covered whole hazelnuts:

This one was even more likeable, it was made up of four chocolate covered hazelnuts joined together to form a square with white chocolate in the middle.
This one was much simpler compared to the first chocolate that every taste was distinct.
The whole hazelnuts and the taste of dark chocolate formed a nice bitter and nutty taste to complete my chocolate hazelnut experience!

Since my last visit there were quite a few new items such as baguettes, salads and roast chicken which I shall try next time because I came back for the dumplings.
The dumplings were freshly made to order so you have WAIT for them to be made and cooked!

Chicken dumplings:

The dumpling skin was too thick this time and the onions tasted strange.
The filling was slightly too oily but the chili sauce that comes with it balances out all that and makes it delicious.
It is similar to a Chinese dumpling but tastes better because they use chicken instead of pork.

Came here again for their stir fried macaroni which is only served during afternoon tea.
It tasted nice last time so I ordered it again.

The staff were more efficient this time because this shop has been opened for quite a few months.
The items were entered correctly on the bill.

Stir fried macaroni with luncheon meat:

When it arrived it looked darker than last time, the macaroni was much wetter because there was more sauce.
The taste was much stronger this time and I could evidently taste Maggie sauce.
The onions were not sliced properly but the portion was bigger than last time.
The luncheon meat was a bit disappointing because some of it was rancid and some of it came from a new can.

Barley and ginger drink:

This tasted as good as my first visit, however there was a piece of lemon which was not there last time.

Not quite sure why I bothered getting this but the BBQ pork was really sweet and there was too much oily soya sauce on the rice.
The duck was how it should have been.
The colour of the BBQ pork was a bit strange because it was the same colour as the duck!

Got these delicious warships from taste and it was reduced as well as it was late in the day.
When I opened the box the crab roe smell was strong.
The taste of the crab roe was intense and strong, however the prawns were tasteless.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST I have always wanted to try this place but I did not actually know what cuisine it was until there was an English review.

At first I thought it was Macanese cuisine because of the crispy bun with fish, but one of the reviews said it was Burmese.
Although I had bookmarked this place I thought the location was in Sham Shui Po so it was not in my Shamshuipo list, I found it accidentally when I clicked the Cheungshawan location.

When I got out of the MTR exit I was a bit disorientated because the roads all looked the same, but luckily my instinct told me to go straight-ahead which was in the right direction, but when I reached the street I didn’t realise this shop was round the corner.

I was really lucky that I gave this place a visit because they are going to close down temporarily until they rent a new location for the shop.

After I tried the food I was addicted and looked on OpenRice to see if there were any other Burmese restaurants around.
There were three listed including this one and the other two were already closed down!

Hopefully this place will find a new location or it will become the last legend for Myanmar food in Hong Kong until the next one opens.

As I see it, there is only a tiny majority that likes Myanmar food and not many people know about it.
It seems that it can only do well if they opened a really upper end expensive restaurant with good quality ingredients or open a small joint serving food at extremely cheap prices at a busy location.

Noodles with belachan and curry beef belly:
The noodles with belachan itself were only $15 but added extra curry beef belly to it which was an extra $14.
The beef had a lot of fat but otherwise the curry taste was ok.
The noodles were sprinkled with their home made belachan which had pieces of dried garlic, scallions etc with soy sauce.
The noodles were really delicious.

Mohinga noodles:


I also tried this because there were a lot of interesting ingredients such as the Banana tree stem, yellow ginger and lemon grass.
The banana tree stem was really interesting and tasted like old celery because it had a lot of roughage.
The soup was a bit different to how I imagined it to taste, the fish taste was not that strong but it was slightly sour which was why I liked it so much.
There were also sliced fried dough sticks which were delicious when it soaked the soup.

Fish patty with lettuce in pork bone soup:

This was a bit boring because it was just the same as the Chinese ones, however the fish patty was better because it did not have grounded bones.
It had a lot of sesame oil in it

Spicy Fish toast:


For the fish toast, there is a choice of toast or bun. I chose the toast because I wanted uniform toast and for the bun, it seemed like there was more bun in proportion to the fish.
The taste was so delicious I really regretted not ordering a second, I should have tried the bun version as well.
It was filled with finely grounded silky boneless fish.
There were a lot of grounded onions, banana tree stems and other goodies, which made it delicious.

Noodles with belanchan:

This was a second order, however this time the soy sauce was slightly too sweet.

Hopefully I will be back one more time before they find a new location.

To me the whole meal was really cheap and came to $103, so a few years ago I would probably be only paying around $7X.
I wanted to try the Burmese chicken too but it was sold out.

Since they are going close on Dec 4th I came back for the spicy fish bun and dumplings.

During my last two visits I must have picked the wrong stuff because they did not taste nice.
However the items I picked this time were better except for the mussels.

Charcoal Grilled Fillet of Beef served with Spicy Sauce :
The beef was tender and juicy and it was really delicious.
There was a nice charred taste because it was grilled.
The sauce that came with it was made with shallots, chinese Parsley, Chili Powder and Lime Juice which was really refreshing.
You can see it had lots of herbs in it sauce.

Stuffed Green Mussels in thick Curry Paste:

This was disappointing, it was just green mussels with curry sauce on top.
The mussels were not fresh and had the usual frozen taste.

Baked Rice with Minced Pork and Black Olives:

This was delicious however the portion was small.
The rice at the bottom of the pot was burnt so it was crispy.
The chopped pieces of black olives and minced pork tasted really nice when it was mixed with the rice, however this dish can be quite salty.
