Wow! They have banana fritters
I was here for some fruit juice so ordered the orange juice.
While I was waiting, I took a look at the menu and found banana fritters!!!!
Anyway, the orange juice was good because it was fresh orange juice with lots of orange flesh without being too sweet.

My colleague got some mooncakes from FedEx hence I got to try them!!
Same as last year, they were delivered by another courier company and not FedEx themselves which is quite funny.
They were egg custard mooncakes.
After microwaving them for 20 seconds in the microwave, they were hot and delicious.
There was a fragrant egg custard smell and the pastry was lovely and buttery which went well with the egg custard filling.

Came here for lunch and the menu has changed quite a bit.

Black pepper crusted Tuna salad:

To be honest, I don't think this was Mexican but it was just part of the lunch.
It tasted quite nice because the lime sauce was tangy and the pepper crusted tuna was good.

Fresh corn tortilla chips with guajillo chili honeydew melon salsa:


I am not fond of tortilla chips but the honeydew melon salsa was surprisingly good because the sweetness to it was soothing and delicious with a hint of coriander.

smoky beef brisket tortilla wrap:

The beef wrap was served with salad, chipotle aioli, cajun fries and red salsa.
It was a bit like pulled beef but it was too sweet.

smoked salmon quesadilla:

smoked over applewood chips, garnished with guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream.
The salmon quesadilla was gorgeous, smoky salmon in the middle with stringy cheese complemented by the gorgeous creamy guacamole.

Chocolate cake:

Not Mexican but part of the lunch deal.
Quite a nice little piece of chocolate cake that was moist, soft and not too sweet.

When the bill came, I was pleased that they have not included the compulsory charity donation because I would like to be informed first before any compulsory donation is made.

A while ago, there used to be a branch at Causeway Bay.
I remember I made a trip there and bought some cakes and tried to take them home carefully without being bumped about.

Anyway, they now have a shop on Queen Road selling cookies and hotdogs as well.

The cake selection is good but the lego bricks for too colourful for me.

Taro egg white roll:

The roll was quite good and I appreciated that the colour was natrual and not vivid lilac.
It was soft filled with starchy taro filling in the middle but unfortunately it was too sweet.

Apple strudel:
For the strudel, there was a choice of apple, mango or peach.

The strudel was a but strange because it looked more like a puff or a cream slice, but anyway I loved the apple filling in the middle and the delicious cream but again it was too sweet.

This joint has been here for about a year but when they initially started there was only quiche on the menu.

The choices have got better so decided to give it a try.

They sell these gorgeous Nicepops which have slightly melted and refrozen again so I didn't buy them.

The scones were rather tiny and oddly shaped for $18.
To be honest they looked like coconut macaroons.

I am quite surprised this little joint is listed.
Anyway, I only dined here because I wanted a drink, water was what I really wanted.
Sat down and ordered some Fish shaomai and hot lemon water because it was the closest drink I could get to water.
The shaomai was the usual fare with a high percentage of flour and a fishy taste.
Then when I was taking photos I saw a plastic jug of water with cups.
As I did not finish the lemon water drink, the staff there were really nice and asked me if I wanted it to take it away.

My favourite place for food but unfortunately I was not allowed to take photos.
So its their loss not mine because there are no photos on this review!

Previously i have taken photos at the Kinswick branch with no problem at all and the WanChai branch, but one of the staff was anal and thought she was doing a good job for them.

Basically, the food you order here can be bought from their Frozen foods section.

Perfect oven cooked chips which had a gorgeous potato taste with a fluffy centre and the fish was coated in breadcrumbs which was chunky and flakey.
