I had to collect some mooncakes in TST so stopped by for dinner.
This restaurant is located at The ONE mall which is near the MTR exit but getting there was troublesome because of the escalators and the way the mall is designed.
The restaurant interior was really nice which attracted a lot of tourists.

Ordered the tofu in abalone sauce.

Tofu in abalone sauce:
I loved this bubbling hot dish because it was soft and smooth pieces of tofu in rich abalone sauce that was great with rice.
I also found lots of abalone and Chinese Yunnan ham in it.

The Jasmine tea was really good and fragrant because it was constantly kept hot by the candle.

Recieved a mooncake coupon for The Banqueting House's custard mooncakes.
The mooncakes were in a paper box which was quite environmentally friendly.

【酥皮奶黃月餅】迷你八個裝
After they were reheated they smelt very buttery and the custard filling was sweet and savory.
As they do not have any preservatives they need to be refrigerated.
I would advise getting them before you go home because they need to be refrigerated.

R&B stands for Research and Bakery but food wise, some of the dishes were creative but could have tasted better.

Chicken nuggets:
Chicken nuggets seasoned with lemon, pepper and garlic.
They are different to the usual nuggets because they are pieces of chicken with the skin attached to it.
The chicken was surprisingly juicy with a light crispy coating with a fragrant cracked black pepper taste.

Caramelized cauliflower:
Cauliflower with Shallots, cane sugar and smoked paprika.
I found them too sweet but the lemon was good for toning the sweetness.

Tea Ball:
Apart from tea, the other drinks were also fun to order such as the chocolate where you are given a bar of chocolate with hot milk to mix together.
Although the tea was presented nicely, it did not steep well and the tea flavour did not diffuse through the ball which was made of thick paper.
By the time the tea did infuse properly the tea was cold!

Potato brick:
Slices of potato with truffle cheese, cream and basil.
As soon as it arrived, the cream on top slid off.
It was thinly sliced potatoes stacked in a neat brick shape similar to potato dauphinoise.
Apart from the artsy fartsy presentation, it just tasted like ordinary potato slices with cream and a hint of truffle.
The basil was wasted because you could not taste it and it was just there as a garnishing.

Fisherman's chips:

seafood, shoestring potatoes, lemon aioli.
It was rather creative that they fried the piece of lemon as well.
This dish actually tasted quite nice because the chips were freshly cut and thin while the seafood was crispy coated in delicate coating.

Buttermilk fried chicken benedict:

egg, biscuit, buffalo hollandaise
The chicken was similar to the fried chicken nuggets ordered before but the biscuit was a bit too sweet and dry for my liking.

Black forest is always my favourite cake because of cherries and chocolate.
At Maxim's, they have launched a luxury version of the black forest cake called 【La Forêt-Noire】.
There are two sizes, the big one which weighs 1lb ($218) and a smaller one ($128).
*** Please note that the cherries on top may be replaced with other berries due to seasonal availability.***

To match the black forest cake, they have a specially designed box for it.
The cake is covered in thin chocolate pieces and garnished with a layer of cream and fresh cherries on top.
The cake contains French chocolate with a layer of Bavarois cream in the middle, and cherries soaked in wine.
There were layers of delicious chocolate cake in between.
It was such a delicious cake with all these layers with juicy alcoholic cherries, cream and Bavarois cream which tasted a bit like custard.
If the cake is too much for your sweet tooth, there is also a dessert version.

Randomly went here for food and didn't know what to order so decided to get a prawn burger.

The prawn patty was good because there was quite a lot of prawn grounded into it.
It had a firm and springy texture.

Went to McCafe because of the new Earl Grey cake and the Earl grey jelly latte.
The Earl grey cake only costs $16 with the purchase of a drink from the Earl Grey series.
I didn't get a chance to check the bill because I was not given the bill, but since they gave me the wrong drink I had the bill reprinted and discovered that I was overcharged.

The rude biatch insisted that it was because the hot drink and cold drink costs different but I was not even on this issue.
The cake should have cost $16 not $2X.

Finally had the issue resolved when a smart senior spotted the problem.
Surely, special offers should be pre-programmed into their POS systems??!!!

Iced Earl grey jelly latte:

I was given the usual straw hence the jelly cubes got stuck!!!
The drink was a bit disappointing because the Earl Grey taste was not strong enough.

To be honest I have not visited the Sham Shui Po branch again because it is quite far away.
As well as SSP, they have lots of new branches and this one was the nearest to me and they have tables for people to eat there.
I wanted to get the set because of the lime drink but something was sold out so I could only get the original noodles for $15.
It's shocking that the prices have not gone up!!!
My bowl of noodles were actually bigger this time compared to my first visit.
The sauce was rich with a heavy fragrant Sichuan pepper taste and strong peanut coriander flavouring.
Each strand of noodle got covered in this delicious thick sauce.
