My colleague gets mooncakes from DHL every year and each year they will surprise you!!!
This year, it came as a form of a big mooncake cushion!
When you unzip the top, it unfolds a DHL plane on top of the moon!
In the other compartment, there is a box of mooncakes made by Maxims.
Again, the usual thick dense white lotus seed paste with a salty egg yolk.

Mooncakes again!!!!!!!
The lotus paste was quite dense and thick with a savoury note from the egg yolk.
I found it a bit too cloyingly sweet for my liking.

I was given this mooncake so decided to write about.
To be honest, I am not fond of the traditional ones but since I did not eat any this year, I decided to try it.
A nice firm pastry with sweet silky lotus paste contrasted by the salty egg yolk.

The mooncake was surprisingly good and not too sweet with a fragrant custard taste.
It held together and had a clean cut when you sliced it.

Tried the new spicy Tsukemen and it was SPICY!!!
There are three levels of spiciness to choose from.

The above tempura is not available at the moment because I tried this ages ago, but wanted to post it because I loved the strawberry tempura which was juicy and refreshing.

Mega spicy Tsukemen 激辛沾汁麵:


When it arrived, it reminded me of this Sichuan dish which has a layer of red chili oil on top, beneath the broth was a rich meaty broth.
The dipping broth was bright red made with Habanero chilis.
A spicy experience with dipping ramen but it was worth it!

I had to collect some mooncakes in TST so stopped by for dinner.
This restaurant is located at The ONE mall which is near the MTR exit but getting there was troublesome because of the escalators and the way the mall is designed.
The restaurant interior was really nice which attracted a lot of tourists.

Ordered the tofu in abalone sauce.

Tofu in abalone sauce:
I loved this bubbling hot dish because it was soft and smooth pieces of tofu in rich abalone sauce that was great with rice.
I also found lots of abalone and Chinese Yunnan ham in it.

The Jasmine tea was really good and fragrant because it was constantly kept hot by the candle.

Recieved a mooncake coupon for The Banqueting House's custard mooncakes.
The mooncakes were in a paper box which was quite environmentally friendly.

【酥皮奶黃月餅】迷你八個裝
After they were reheated they smelt very buttery and the custard filling was sweet and savory.
As they do not have any preservatives they need to be refrigerated.
I would advise getting them before you go home because they need to be refrigerated.
