This was my last resort for some decent tea in Quarry Bay.

Earl grey tea:

The tea was surprisingly good and fragrant with a leafy taste.
You can see that the teabag contains decent tea leaves in it.

Previously came here for the panda curry but still had some other items I wanted to try so came here again.

On this visit, tried the noodles and dessert.

Soba noodles with salmon:

The noodles were quite soggy and tasteless and the lovely wooden tub made it difficult to eat.

grass jelly with coke:

The grass jelly was already in syrup so when the cola was added it became too sweet.
For improvements, it would be great if they served unsweetened grass jelly so that you can truly taste the concoction of herbal jelly and fizzy coke.

I ended up going here because the Indonesian joint nearby sold out of the stuff I wanted to eat.
This area is famous because Transformers 4 film crew were harassed for an extortion fee at this residential block!
The menu had English which was surprising.

Wintermelon soup:
It was just the standard Wintermelon soup served in Thai joints with the usual chicken taste.

hainan style chicken with yellow rice:
It was pure white meat which was good because there were less bones and the rice was soft and fragrant with a strong coconut taste which you could smell.
As for the chicken, it was soft and fresh.

I was attracted by the cute shop front with golden teapots.
Most of the food on the menu was spicy so I could only order the K-Balls which are balls of flavoured rice.

There were four flavours:
tuna
kimchi
anchovies

K-Ball (Anchovies):
The rice ball was about the size of a golf ball mixed with seaweed and anchovies.
It was quite light in taste but you could still taste the anchovies and seaweed.

Randomly came here and tried their ready made meals.

The flour coating was not even and it was mushy and soggy.
As for the taste, the fish was too salty and the bittermelon was not soft enough.

Mozuku seaweed salad:
Got this because it was colourful and I haven't tried this magenta kelp before.
It was dressed in an appetizing vinegar and the small portion was surprisingly filling.

Mozuku seaweed, clams and egg soup:
The soup had a heavy "sea" taste because of the seaweed and clams.
The texture of the kelp was rather viscous while the egg pieces were like silk.

Chikuzen-Ni:
Simmered chicken with vegetables
My favourite bits in this dish were the taro balls which were mini peeled taros, they were silky and viscous.
The rest of the vegetables were ok.

Minced pork and edamame:
with okinawa brown sugar


The minced pork in the musabi was lean and tasty complemented by the sweet edamame beans.

This has slightly changed since I last tried because it now has beancurd skin and not tofu cubes.

Tried Maxim's colourful mooncakes series which contains 16 flavours:
Mango, mixed berries, blueberry cheese, devils chocolate crunch, sesame with macadamia, mango chestnut, green bean paste with salty egg yolk, pink guava and apricot.
Taro and coconut, green tea with red beans, mango with grapefuit and greenbean, premium green beans, custard, blueberry duo, angel chocolate crunch and mango crunch.
The two that I wanted to try were the Taro and coconut and pink guava and apricot.
In the end I tried the Taro and coconut which was quite nice.
In the middle, there was taro paste.
The taste was quite coconutty and the taro paired nicely with it.
I would have liked it if the texture wasn't starchy but it is by default because they all contain mung beans.
