I love tea but I was contemplating whether to try this place or not because aroma oils do my head in and make me dizzy.
Since I was checking out SOHO fish and chips, I decided to go in and see if the smell would knock me out.

Luckily I could cope with the aroma fragrance so I got the Holiday Dreams which is coconut and pineapple infused tea with honey (pina colada).

While I was waiting, I smelt the other teas and the chocolate and lavender tea was quite interesting.
On the tables, they have floral sugars.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Holiday Dreams:
The tea was nicely labelled with a silver elastic string and tea information.
Basically the tea was made in a shaker, hence the pretty froth which reminds me of Taiwanese fruit teas.
The tea tasted natrual with a strong pineapple taste and it actually tasted like real pina colada.

[Review 3666] The secret menu @ The Butchers Club

On the first visit, I only got the duck fat fries because I did not know about the secret menu.

After I found out about the secret menu, I discovered a vegetarian burger called What food eats.

This veggie burger has a delicious breaded and fried patty made with Chickpeas, white beans, kidney beans, zucchini, peppers, carrots, onion, garlic and crushed, puréed potato.
It then has oyster mushrooms, tomato slices, lettuce and pan-fried halloumi slapped on.

$120 is quite pricey for a Vegetarian burger but luckily it was the best Vegetarian burger I have ever had.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
What food eats:
The veggie burger was just awesome because it was filling as well as delicious especially with the Halloumi cheese and oyster mushrooms.
Basically it had the delicious key elements a burger should have which are cheese and mushrooms and a delicous patty.

The veggie patty was not oily and flavourful with beans and my favourite pureed potatoes.

Came here because quite a lot of people recommended this place.

Although the green tea Swiss rolls are a popular pick, I went for the breakfast.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Onigiri breakfast:
Basically you get two Onigiris and an onsen egg.
The rice was over roasted because the crust was too hard and the salmon tasted too fishy.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Soy milk:
The soy milk fared better because there was a strong soy bean taste and it was not sweetened.

I have always wanted to try this place because it is Chinese food with a Western twist.

Came here twice.

::FIRST VISIT::
On the first visit I had the dessert BUT refused the glass of water because in one of the reviews that person got charged quite a bit for it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Passion fruit sorbet, lime and coconut marshmallow, pomelo, roasted rice:

This was refreshing especially the passion fruit sorbet which was balanced with the sweetness of the marshmallows that had a gorgeous coconut taste and a hint of lime.
You could visually see fine shreds of lime rind in the marshmallow and the texture of it was as light as egg white.
The roasted rice was crispy and gave a pretty dusting to the marshmallows with a roasted taste.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★

::::::::::Second visit::::::::
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Granny smith apple granita, calpis sorbet, mochi, koji jelly:
I had this dessert on the second visit and asked for it without the calpis sorbet because I don't like Calpis.
I liked it because they used Granny Smith apples which are green and tart.
Another surprise was the jelly, it was pink with bits of rice in it and there were pieces of chewy mochi in it.
Compared to the first dessert I found it a bit too sweet.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
When the bill I arrived, I got two fortune cookies which I did not get on my first visit.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fortune cookies are not Chinese but is a novelty snack invented overseas with a fortune slip in the middle when you crack the cracker in half!!

[Review 3663] Scottish All-day breakfast @ 精伶吧 The Canny Man

I havent had the Scottish Breakfast for a while so decided to have it.
It's quite pricey but then this is the only place that serves it.
You need to phone in advance for it because I went there before and they did not have it.

The Scottish breakfast consists of:
Scottish square sliced (lorne sausage), bacon, eggs, black pudding, tomato, sauteed mushrooms, onion and potato, baked beans and toast (choice of fried bread).
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Scottish breakfast:

The sauteed potatoes were my favourite because they were tossed with onions and herbs.

The mushrooms were good as well because they were earthy and tasty.

However the Lorne sausage and black pudding were a bit greasy and there was too much milk in the scrambled egg because the taste was too dairy.

[Review 3662] Great Piadinas @ Dolci Sogni

Although the gelatos did not impress me, the bread and Piadinas fared better.
Piadina or Piada is a thin Italian flatbread from the Romagna region which looks similar to a Roti.
At Dolci Sogni, you can either choose the fillings or they have ones with fillings they recommend.
I like mine simple so I chose the fillings which is usually cheese and ham.
The first time I had their Piadina, it was not heated so it did not taste nice because the texture was dry and dense but the second time it was heated and much nicer.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Ham and olive pate:

The baguette was crispy, chewy and a little bit too hard while the ham and olive pate was quite flavourful but the olive pate was a little too salty.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Praga ham and cheese:

Had this twice and after it was heated the Piadina texture was soft and flakey which was delicious with the soft Praga ham and melted cheese in the middle.
