I wanted to make a sandwich so grabbed some white bread from Prince Bakery.
It looked quite normal, but it didn't taste soft and yeasty and had the typical Chinese taste and texture.
Apart from the bread, I loved the labels there.

The Okinawan sugar roll looked delicious because it was filled with okinawan sugar mousse, okinawan sugar jelly and purple potatoes so decided to get it.
The box reminded me of Anna Sui!
As you can see, there are chunks of jelly, sweet potato and mousse in the centre.
I ended up eating half of the roll because it was not too sweet and the roll was soft and light with fluffy light mousse and bits and pieces that gave it an interesting mouthful.

I was finally able to buy the coconut pie a la carte because all the branches I went to sold the a la mode version during 1-3 of May.
It came in a nice black and white pie packaging and the pie was a dark brown black colour which had a slight taste of chocolate.
The filling inside was piping hot coconut, which basically tastes like the coconut paste you find in Thai coconut puddings.
It is definitely nice to have something new once in a while..

I got addicted to the steak and fries at this place so decided to go again for lunch.
That day all profits went to the quake victims in Nepal.

This time I had my steak medium rare which was juicy and tender, the fries were crispy with a hint of sweetness, after adding mustard to the sauce, the fries and steak tasted amazing.


For dessert I had profiteroles which were filled with vanilla icecream and drizzled with rich chocolate sauce and sprinkled with slivered almonds.


To finish off I had earl grey tea.

I was going to get a burger but the shop was quite small and cramped so I ended up getting donuts.

The donuts were amazing because they were freshly fried so they were still warm and there was no sugar or icing powder to coat it but it was covered in thick warm salted caramel sauce which had a proper salty kick to it.

The hot soft donuts were just delicious with the caramel sauce. If you find them too sweet, you can scrape some sauce off and it will be scrumptious.
I loved the bottles of chili sauce but I couldn't get close to them to take a picture.

Although the blueberry tart was a bit too sweet, it was actually delicious.
I loved the crust because was not too buttery and the tart was filled with a layer of cake, a thin layer of chocolate and cream topped with glazed blueberries.

I tried the BROWN CAKE because I love raspberry and chocolate.
BROWN CAKE:


It was a cute chocolate bear with layers of raspberry jelly, chocolate cake surrounded in chocolate mousse.

I really liked the rich chocolate mousse and the layer of chocolate cake which was balanced by the raspberry jelly to give it dimension so that it was not too chocolately.
