Decided to try the lobster burger because the product picture was stunning with a huge lobster head.
As I was hungry I added a portobello mushroom as well.

The lobster meat was tucked nicely in the bun with the claw meat put at the front of the burger to make it look nice, garnished with the lobster head.

It was really delicious with juicy slices of tomato and creamy avocodo.

For drinks, there were lots of options including green tea latte but I opted for the chocolate and hazelnut drink.
The hazelnut and chocolate was not too sweet but the hazelnut taste was not strong enough.
As for the earl grey tea, it was aromatic and pleasant to drink.

My third time using foodpanda, the trusted delivery service.
Ordered from Jacomax because I have tried it before.
The carbonara was creamy and the pasta was al-dente with generous pieces of bacon in it.
For the other dish, I had the risotto which was filling and tasty.

Basically a great option to order on a rainy/sunny day when you are too lazy to get out of the office!

If you grew up in the UK, a den is a hiding place that could be a treehouse or a place to hide in the garden.
It is always fun going there with close friends and building it from scratch with twigs, pieces of wood and whatever you can find.
This was the reason I was attracted to this newly opened DEN in Sai Ying Pun.
It didn’t look exactly like a DEN but the path leading there certainly felt like one because it was a small quiet road with trees on one side.
Travelling to THE DEN was more convenient than I expected because I was dreading the walk from SYP MTR station but exit C is the shortest path and the elevator was fast.
When you get out of exit C, your almost there, you cross the road and the take the small uphill road adjacent to St Stephens college and your there.
The menu consists of steaks, comfort food and home made desserts.
I know that this place specializes in steaks but there were a few irresistible items I had to order, so steaks and dessert shall be items on my next visit.
My friend started off with grapefruit soda which I was expecting from the can or bottle but it was freshly made!!!!!!!!
First, the grapefruit juice was freshly squeezed into a glass and tonic water was added to give it the fizz resulting in a pretty glass of grapefruit soda with a lovely pink foam cap on top.
After seeing that, I immediately ordered the orange soda which was made the same way.
Both sodas tasted natrual and were thirst quenching.
For food, we had the beef cubes, fish pie, mash, bacon and egg butty and the portions were huge.

Wagyu beef cubes:
To start we had the beef cubes which were a good way of trying out their beef.
Indeed each piece of beef was juicy and tender so I am convinced to try their Wagyu tenderloin next time when I have a beef craving.
There was a side of black pepper sauce that was homemade which had a strong peppery taste but the beef was really tasty on its own that it didn’t really need anything else.

Fish pie:

Typical fish pies have a mashed potato top but here they have used puff pastry and you get a side of thick cut fries seasoned with salt and pepper.
The fish pie is slightly runny so that you can dip your chips and it is loaded with fish, prawns, crabsticks and clams.

The seafood pie was really good because there was a strong seafood taste.

This was a buttery and silky home made mash.

Bacon and egg butty:

For eggs, they have an option of free range organic eggs which cost $15 more.
Basically it was crisp tasty bacon on lovely toast paired with sunny eggs.

Meringue pavola:

For desserts, finished with this fruit pavola which was topped with fresh fruits.
I loved the pieces of orange and meringue because it was a nice balance of sweetness and sournesss.

I am not really a fan of beef burgers let alone beef but since this place has opened there are so many good comments so it must be good.
Till now I have still not tried their beef burger and the first burger I ate there was the vegetarian one which was pricey but delicious.

Went early for the bacon roll and there were some people filming there.

On the kitchen end, you can see each patty is weighed before it is cooked.

The bacon roll was not that impressive because I was expecting the bacon to be tastier but it wasn't.

Red eye reduction:

This was another reason for coming!!
The Red-Eye Reduction is from the secret menu and has a Beef patty, cheddar cheese, maple-glazed bacon, fried egg, hash brown, maple hollandaise sandwiched between French toast buns.

I liked hash brown and the French toast tasted like American pancakes but this was extremely messy and a challenge to eat it with just bare hands.
Anyway, the star of the show was the beef patty and it did not disappoint because the beef had a velvety texture like sweetbread and it was lean but tender.

Tried this before at the Hung Hom branch which was not good because the Original roujiama I had was tasteless and dripping with oil.
It did not have cumin and spices that I was expecting.

When I found out that they had opened a second branch in Hong Kong, I decided to give it a visit because of the liangpi.

This time I had the beef and cumin roujiama, chicken roujiama and the liangpi.

There are two types of liangpis, one is soft and one is hard, but both evidently look and taste like Cantonese Chinese flat rice noodles (hor fun)

This was filled with juicy lean slices of beef with green peppers, cumin and chili.
A very tasty pairing of spicy chili and beef in a flavourful gravy.

This was spicy and sweet but the sweetness was not annoying.

Basically the tub of vinegar and red oil were the sauces that made the liangpi come alive.

The liangpi was very appetizing with a vinegary taste and touch of cumin.

The sesame sauce was really pale and beige which looked similar to Tahini but the taste was too heavy and thick that I didn’t like it.

Who said sausages had to be beef, pork or chicken?
At ICONIC H, they have this sausage made of SALMON!

I tried two starting with a plain one so that I could taste the sausage properly.

Salmon dog with mustard:

This was just the salmon sausage with mustard.

The mustard and salmon tasted great together and the fish sausage was really interesting because there was mashed fish in it and the sausage casing was made of a vegetarian casing.

Salmon Addiction hotdog:

The Salmon Addiction hotdog is a Salmon sausage topped with Mentaiko Egg and Mayo.

The egg was beautifully done, it was almost like a liquid omelette which acted like a sauce for the hotdog.
Both were delicious so it is hard to say which one I liked more.
