This is the second branch in Hong Kong, the main branch is in TST.
Although I love Indian food, I tend to dine in Hong Kong because the Kowloon ones are localized.
Some of the dishes are localized because they have to be consistent with the TST branch and they have some creative things like strawberry mustard dressing.
I had a craving for Indian food again but couldn't make it to Noble Spice so went here instead for the buffet on Saturday which costs $128 per person the same as Jashan.
The view is nice and scenic.
The curry selection was really good but there was choi sum rice which was localized and weird but it tasted ok.
Slim and long grains of rice
There was plain rice as well.
The plain naan was fantastic because it was light and flakey with a slight chewy texture.
They had curd rice which I loved because I always mix rice and yoghurt together, but this was better because the yoghurt is stronger.
For dessert they had this divine rice pudding which was sooooooooooooooooooo delicious and it wasn't too sweet and the spices were light.
When I left M88, I was attracted by this colouful flyer which tells you to submit receipts to win vouchers to spend at M88.
I was really chuffed to win $200 to spend here again because I don't fancy the other restaurants at M88.

I was intending to get the fruit roll but they didn't have it so I got this new Crispy chocolate roll which was big and cheap costing $34!!
It seems that the rolls are inconsistent because the amount of cream is different in every roll.
The one I got had too much cream in it.
The roll was really good because it was soft and chocolately but the jelly tasted weird because it was sour and didn't quite match the taste.
The taro cake was also too sweet but hope to see them come up with a taro roll or pandan roll.

Arome Bakery has launched a new Uji Matcha series and the cake looks like a woven green basket and a Japanese teapot!
Anyway I tried the bun which could have tasted better because it tasted like raw dough and it was rather sweet.
The bean paste in the bun had a starchy texture which was quite nice.

When it comes to seafood, Sai Kung springs into mind but there are actually lots of other places that have great seafood such as Tuen Mun and Lei Yue Mun.
This time we ventured into Tuen Mun's again for Seafood Thai 泰海鮮.

蒜蓉粉絲蒸元貝‏。Steamed scallops with garlic and glass vermicelli

As well as the lobster and cheese, the steamed scallops were really nice because they were fresh and springy with a sweet garlic taste from the finely chopped garlic.

I purposely ate the glass vermicelli last so that it would absorb the scallop and garlic flavours.

The wrapped rice looked good from the poster so decided to try it out because it was vegetarian.
It was better than my expectation because the rice was soft and loose and there were bits of preserved vegetables and funghi which made the rice tasty.
The rice was nice and soft but it was a tad too salty and oily.

I also found chickpeas in it as well.

Saw on their Facebook that they had these molten chocolate buns so I decided to try them out.

As well as molten chocolate buns they had the original molten custard ones so I got both.

These size of these buns were smaller than expected which was good because I didn’t fancy having a big one.

Went here for dinner and tried the dinner set which costs $218 per person.
There was a good choice of Western and Chinese dishes on the menu.
As there were three of us we ordered two sets of the one person dinner and some extra items.
The restaurant was doing a photoshoot so we got to try some of their latest drinks which included a refreshing mango and pineapple juice drink and a mint drink which had strong fresh mint taste.

We ordered two set dinners and here was what we had:

Bean curd with toona sinensis

The tofu was soft and tasty.

The asparagus roll was really nice with nutty tasting alfalfa and Kewpie mayonnaise which makes everything delicious.

The truffle flavour was a little overpowering and I think it would taste nice without the truffle and you can see the egg white is beautifully scrambled to the point that it looks like crabmeat.

I was so glad I ordered this because the soft steamed buns were delicious with icecream.

The desserts here are really creative because they also have matcha waterchestnut pudding which I am going to try next time and the fried rice with pinenuts and seaweed.
