Discovered this teahouse the other day while I was looking for lunch.
The Heritage Teahouse is the same one as Shek Kip Mei serving a variety of teas that cost around $40 with no service charge which is pretty good.
They have various teacups on display.
I chose the Monkey picked Iron Buddha which had a grassy taste but it didn't seem to taste strong enough.
I will definitely come back again for tea.

Apart from Marks and Sparks, you can’t really get good cream puffs or chocolate eclairs.

The closest cheap craving I could find was this cream puff from Sushi Takeout.

Unfortunately the puff was a bit dehydrated so the texture was dry like weird Styrofoam and the cream inside was Chinese fake cream which was a bit sweet but almost there.

[Review 4776] Chicken Schnitzel and chips from News Room @ The News Room Diner

It seems that food less than $50 in Quarry Bay won’t taste good.
Went to News Room which has now become a takeaway joint for chicken Schnitzel and chips but the chicken was dry and there was no cheese in the middle.
The fries were a bit salty and they put salt and black pepper in it by default, which ruined it.

I would have chosen fish and chips but the fish were already fried and sitting there to be re-fried again.

[Review 4775] Uji matcha froyo @ 阿波羅 Appolo

I love Appolo's frozen yoghurt because it is the mother of all froyos in Hong Kong before the Froyo trend and it tastes natrual.
Went here because I was having dinner nearby and discovered that they had this uji matcha froyo which sounds good as you don't often find any froyo that is matcha flavoured.
As well as uji matcha, they also had this new Hokkaido vanilla flavour but you can't try them.
I was told that it was froyo mixed with uji matcha powder.
Anyway, the woman there was a bit grumpy so it was hard asking her about the different flavours.
There was some free strawberry yoghurt at the bottom from the last order.
As for the uji matcha, it was quite nice but a bit too sweet which overpowered the yoghurt flavour and the uji matcha flavour was quite strong with hard starchy bits of red beans in it.

[Review 4774] Curry sauce and chips @ Tiger Curry

If your British, then curry sauce or gravy with chips are a must.
Found out that they had curry sauce and chips so went there for it.
It cost $48 for chips and curry sauce which strangely has melted cheese in it.
There was also Indonesian salad which is weird for a Japanese restaurant.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Curry sauce and chips with melted cheese:
The fries were basically the thin type served at McDonalds with a similar taste but the curry didn't work for me because it was too spicy with a strong curry essence flavour and a hint of weird sweetness to it.

I love the breakfast bowls here so got the bacon one.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
All day breakfast Crispy bacon bowl:

I love their bowls but the breakfast bowl is even better because it comes with fried egg or scrambled egg.
Since I have already tried the fried egg version, I got the scrambled egg which tastes really nice with the cheese.
For sauces, I tried the medium this time which is red in colour but not that spicy.
The bacon was good but not all of it was crispy and the rice was cold while the portion was small compared to other bowls that they serve for the same price.

[Review 4772] Sinmei Matcha Afternoon Tea set @ 川善茶居 Sinmei Tea

Tried Sinmei's matcha afternoon tea which is new.
There are scones, Lamingtons, yoyos and topped waffles served with jam, matcha ganache and my favourite magic green sauce that is found in the Hakka thunder tea.
All my favourite sweet treats with a strong matcha taste.

As well as the tea, they are serving Hibiscus tea, Yuzu Australian black tea and the Matcha latte with fresh honeycomb flown from Brisbane's Bee One Third while stocks last.
My favourite was the hibiscus tea because it tastes natural compared to other places and the Yuzu Australian black tea goes well with sweet honey too.
Yuzu Australian black tea with honeycomb:
The matcha latte and honey is also good with that delicious foam cap on top.
