Armani/Aqua is such a chic place to go in Hong Kong and I plan to go to the one too in London.
Previously had the amazing colourful salt pairing experience here and now I am back for the DJ Infinity Christmas Brunch which features Turkey.
There is a good buffet spread of sushi, sashimi, maki and other Japanese salads and dishes alongside Italian buffet of cold cuts, grilled vegetables, fresh Italian salads.
There is a dessert section as well.
The infinity brunch includes an exclusive Veuve Clicquot champagne Cocktail.
The Gingerbread Man Cocktail is a must made with Cinnamon, sweet ginger syrup and vodka shaken with lemon, topped with a miniature gingerbread man biscuit.
As a light drinker, I was impressed with the cocktails because the gingerbread man had a strong ginger and cinamon taste while the Earl grey Veuve cliquot had a strong earl grey infused taste.

Started with the buffet which had all of my favourites including rolls and cheeses.

For the mains I had the turkey and my friend had the Sea bream Tuscany Style with red prawn and clams in Italian tomato ratatouille sauce.

Turkey was good and the sea bream is another option but personally I prefer Turkey for Christmas.

Dessert was a beautiful Strawberry Terrine Dessert.

[Review 4844] Hidden café on the hill @ 舒房 Relax & Refresh

Went here because I love these well-hidden cafes which make me explore different places that I would normally not go.
Relax & Refresh is a pastel blue café which reminds me of this café in Sai Kung called Tea Break.

It was nice there were other drinks as well as coffee and food.
I was deciding whether to get the sourdough toast with cream cheese and jam or the sundried tomato paste and cheese but in the end I got the sundried tomato because I wasn’t sure how the cream cheese and sweet jam would taste together.
The toast was surprisingly good because the tomato paste was strong with a refreshing zing and unami aftertaste while the cheese was nice and stringy.
When I asked what cheese they used the guy came back with a piece of paper with Grano Padano written on it which was impressive.
They didn’t use some tasteless lame Mozzarella cheese.
Also on the toast was grated Parmesan which added to the cheesy flavour.

[Review 4843] Not your usual gelato @ Stickhouse

I got the daily special which was cantaloupe melon and kiwi because I like cantaloupe melon but it was too sweet and the melon taste was a bit artificial.
Then I had the pistachio gelato stick which was a bit weird.
Their freezer is a bit abnormal and the pistachio must have been there for quite a while for ice crystals to form on the surface which also affects taste.
Anyway, the texture was weird, it was not soft but the hardness was not icy but it had a chew to it.
The taste of this was better but it was slightly chalky when you ate it.
I was a bit disappointed with the selection because there wasn't anything cute/artistic about it to give me an impulse to buy it.

M&S Café is a homely place to dine because it has lovely sofas which can make some people feel like home that they take their shoes off.
Anyway, I had my usual pasta which was consistently good.
Al-dente pasta in a tangy tomato bolognese sauce.
The hygiene could be better because there are always some flies flying near my salad.

[Review 4841] Kee Wah's tradition sausages @ 奇華餅家 Kee Wah Bakery

It's drawing near winter finally, so if your a local, it is time for hotpots, snake soup and preserved sausages.

At Kee Wah, they have traditional sausages.

The sausages make great gifts to overseas relatives because they have English and Chinese instructions.
Both sausages had fragrant Chinese wine in it which you could smell when they were being steamed and when they were ready to eat.
Personally I prefer liver sausages because I love that rich taste with pieces of liver infused with fragrant wine that is really strong.

[Review 4840] Soup curry in CWB @ SAMA HK

The first time I have tried this was in Central and now they have another branch in CWB.
The menu has slightly changed and the curry comes in one size only and rice is unlimited which they didn’t tell me at the Central branch nor at this branch until I asked.
I got the vegetarian curry with prawn broth at Level 1 spiciness and it was quite spicy.
The vegetables were delicious but there was not much okra or asparagus in the curry as stated.
The natto beans were not viscous or slimy enough for my liking.

Walked past Saint Honore and saw these cute mini rolls so I got one of each flavour.

Each one had a nice presentation with filling in the middle that you see.

The three flavours were:
*chocolate and banana

*mango

*green tea and red beans

The chocolate one was the best because the chocolate cake was not that sweet with a strong cocoa taste.
The matcha one was the second best but I didn’t like the red bean filling and I didn’t try the mango because I hate mango and it had a whole chunk of mango in the middle.
