All u can eat for $128

Personally I rarely eat in a Cha chaan teng/bing sut/Chinese café because the place is usually old and grubby and the people are rude.

I only dined here because of the all you can eat promotion for $128.
The all you can eat gave me a chance to sample everything that is commonly served.

The place was clean and the staff were nice so it was ok and you will find a good variety on the menu ranging from dimsum, baked rice, stir fried noodles, French toasts, steamed rice, typical drinks and even beer.
I liked the dimsum and I will probably go again on festive dates because the prices won’t go up!!
The size of the dimsum was really cute but they could be cuter if they were smaller.
This is a great place for tourists to sample food in Central which is located conveniently near the escalators.

[Review 4883] Free membership card upgrade @ CEO Neway

A while ago there were two membership cards, the basic one and the special one that you had to pay $10 and available in four colours which I never upgraded to.

All of a sudden on my recent visit I got forced to upgrade my membership card for free to a new silver card which meant I was lucky I never paid $10 for the other ones.
I wasn't was quite ready for the upgrade because that tatty card has become quite sentimental.

I believe the karoake business must be dying as they are seriously trying to get people to go Karoake with attractive offers which they didn't have before.

The tea has improved because you get a metal jug which keeps warm throughout the whole session and you get more tea in it too

Just the standard fare served here, nothing tasted outstanding.
The deep fried squid was weird, it was served on a bed of cornflakes.
The xo radish cake was nice, it was crispy and spicy which overpowered that nasty preserved sausage taste.

I used to go to the Mr Steak at Cwb until it got crowded.
Decided to try this new branch for lunch.
The lunch ranges from $88-$188.
The salad bar is ok for the average locals with chicken claws, tomato with processed cheese pretending to be cheese.

The duck I had tasted like Chinese roast goose and it came in big chunks Chinese style but if you think of it, the quality is better than Chinese roast duck because the pieces are big instead of thinly sliced and there are no bones.
I was hopeful when they asked me what tea I wanted implying they had Earl Grey but then she turned around and said they didn’t have it because they just started business.

Late summer DIY ice lollies are better late than next year!
Made by freezing MUJI 無印良品's instant ‪‎pistachio‬ latte.
Tasted nice and not too sweet so if it wasn't sweet enough, you can add more powder next and time.
Milk/cream should be added as well or the texture will turn out too icy like my first batch.

I used to think Kee Wah Bakery sold just mooncakes, Chinese Bakery and Preserved sausages but it was more modern than I thought.

This year they have panda cookies and the Christmas box set.

Cheap gelatos

A-1 bakery, Das gute and Balencia are all part of the same group.
Discovered that they have gelatos but not every shop has all the flavours.
At the new shop in Kornhill, there were quite a lot of flavours so I tried the Darjeeling which I thought was going to like but didn’t like because it tasted like HK style milk tea.

The purple sweet potato was disappointing because it tasted and smelt like playdoh so I went for chocolate and mint that was really nice with a subtle mint flavouring and it wasn’t too sweet.
