Went to the annual Christmas party at Pierre.
They did these beautiful canapes of brown shrimps, salmon with potato and lots more.
My favourite was the brown shrimps because they have a strong briny taste and are rarely served in Hong Kong.

Went here for the lunch buffet and a drink is included.
I had the original lassi which was very tart.
They give you scrumptious chewy but crispy naan which is perfect with the curries.
The curry selection is good but you have to get their early because not much is refilled after 1:45pm.
Here was what I had.

I really enjoyed the curry buffet because the taste of the curry was not spicy and the rice was soft and delicious with my favourite tikka meats and yoghurts.
Although the curries in UK tastes better, the Indian rice in Hong Kong is better because they don't use as much colourings as they do in the UK.
The bill was less than $100 which was a bargain!

When my friend told me about this restaurant I thought it was this watch brand because there used to be this brand in TST called Vabene Italy.
Anyway, Va Bene restaurant is located just to the left of Saiyingpun’s exit A1 so it is really convenient and located just round the corner from this chic hair salon.
The restaurant was grand with an open kitchen.
Here was what we had:

Baked aubergine with tomato and Parmesan sauce:

This was a whole roasted eggplant with Parmesan sauce.
It was quite a filling starter because it was a whole aubergine/eggplant that was baked with tomatoes and strong cheese sauce that was runny.

Scallops, hazelnut and lemon:

The scallop carpaccio was light with fragrant hazelnuts on it.

Risotto with beetroot and gorgonzola sauce:

The risotto was a bright fuschia colour and the risotto was aldente but not chalky drizzled with a strong gorgonzola sauce.

Spaghetti with lobster, peanuts and chili:
The spaghetti was memorable because it looked like minestrone with long pieces of spaghetti and chunks of lobster.
I loved the broth because the peanuts gave it a nutty taste and it was like lobster bisque with a satay touch to it.
The broth tasted great with the bread.

Seabass with black ligurian olive sauce:
The seabass was delicate flavoured by the saltiness of the olives.

Beef tenderloin with pink pepper and ginger:
The beef tenderloin here was really good, it was tender and thinly sliced with a pink centre.
I liked the pink peppercorn sauce because it was fragrant without being overly prominent.

Thyme infused panna cotta with wild berries and mint sauce:
A panna cotta with a difference because it was milky with an infused Thyme flavouring.

Soft chocolate with hazelnut icecream:
This was a delight to look at because it was hazelnut icecream floating on a bed of light fluffy whipped chocolate sauce.

Came here because I saw these pretty tarts in Sheung Wan, the shop is white contrasted by orange popart designs.
Tartes and pops are a much-loved brand by music bands such as Maroon5, Imagine Dragons and possibly Madonna.

They serve tarts with a Breton base.

The impressive thing is that they have these cute little tailor made boxes so you can just buy one and each tart fits snuggly in the box.
They also have boxes of nine or sixteen for parties.
On the corner, there is a selfie area where you can try the hats and other items for photos.
If you dine there, they give you a drink which is nice.

Strawberry and vanilla:
This was a nice simple tart to try because it was just strawberry and thick vanilla in the middle on top of a crisp Breton base which is not too buttery in taste.
The strawberries on top had a fizz to it.

Earl grey and orange:
I liked this one because of the complexity and it had my favourite orange and Earl Grey combination.
The Earl Grey cream was really fragrant while the orange puree made it refreshing.

I shall be coming back again because I went late that night so there were not many choices.

We went here to celebrate our dear friend's birthday.
The food was great that night and I particularly liked the beef steak which was tender and juicy and it came with a side of mustard.
The sushi is good as well, it was fresh there is a good selection.
The only complaint was that the plates pile up on the table because they don't get cleared.

Went here for my favourite roast potatoes and they had French beans that day so I got it as well.
The potatoes were ok that day but they had black pepper in it which I didn't like.
