I always get the sugar cane water which is made by boiling sugar cane remains hence the dark colour.
It is not as sweet as the sugar cane juice which is why I like it.

This was my first visit to Three Dice which is how I discovered their molecular dinner but I decided to write that up first.
They have a good range of yoghurts in the cabinet with some unusal flavours.
Tried the melon yoghurt which was quite tart with sweet melon at the bottom to balance it

I used to go to Putien quite often but after the staff changed, the standards have gone down a bit so I didn’t go.
Went again because I suddenly had a craving for the Yam.

Seaweed with Mini Shrimps:

The seaweed was really appetizing with a sweet and sour taste and they were extremely clean without any sand in them.

PUTIEN Style “Bian Rou” Soup with Vinegar:

I loved these cute miniature dumplings which were tasty and the vinegar infused soup made it more appetizing so you end up having more.

Stir-fried Yam:

Cubes of golden crispy Yams with caramelised crunchy exterior over light fluffiness within.
The inside was soft and fluffy with a mildly sweet crispy coating.

Bean Curd Stew:

This was interesting because it tasted like scrambled tofu.

PUTIEN Lor Mee:
This was noodles in thick gravy with pork belly, prawns and clams.
It was ok but the pork fat was overwhelming.

My colleague recieved some Mandarin cookies so we were really lucky to try them.
They were cute in size about the size of a HKD$1 coin dusted with sugar.
The citrus one was the best because it had bits of orange peel in it, and the chocolate was also good with pieces of chocolate chips in it.
All the cookies had a nice buttery taste to it.

I chose the non spicy curry with okra and tofu cubes.
The curry sauce tasted like gravy and not sweet like the other Japanese curries.
Compared to the previous visit, there wasn't much okra and the curry was lumpy.

This time they were dark and dry.
I requested a different sauce but they wouldn't allow it so marks taken off here.

Discovered Grub & Co while I was randomly browsing #foodpanda and I was captivated by the food list because it was mainly Indian and they had other exotic dishes such as Moroccan Tagine with Couscous, Turkey Chili Con Carne, Lasagne and even Chow mein!!
Basically all my comfort food favourites.

It was really annoying because I wanted to try 70% of the items on the list which is almost everything however they don’t deliver to my location but luckily Café O stocks them.

Went to Café O nearly everyday for Grub and Co.
Here is what I have had so far:

The spinach curry was quite spicy.

Moroccan Lamb Tagine with Couscous:

As well as lamb, there is a vegetarian version.
The sauce was really appetizing with lots of vegetables but the lamb was a bit hard so I will choose the vegetarian option next time.

Butter Chicken with Vegetable biryani:

This was amazing and tastes just as good as the butter curries served in Indian restaurants.
It was sweet and creamy with tender chunks of chicken paired with delicious rice.

Buckwheat Chow Mein (v):


So far this was the only one I didn’t like because the noodles were too soft.
The taste wasn't nice because it was sweet due to the onions and bell peppers.

Turkey Chilli Con Carne:

This was amazing because they used Turkey instead which is lean and doesn’t have these annoying elastic bits.
Unfortunately, it does not come with rice so I had to get some extra rice.
