The L❁❤E of Wan Chai is back

This shop used to be round the corner on Spring garden lane famous for its $16 bowl of wonton noodles.

It closed down a while ago and now they are back at Cross Lane.

I was surprised to see they were back and the prices are still the same and there is still that lovely prawn smell around the area which is how I discovered this shop.
The new place is better and spacious and I hope it keeps that way because it is very clean at the moment.

One of the ladies there had excellent linguistic skills, she could speak English, Philipino and Cantonese.
Prices are still $16 for noodles and a topping.

Sauces at the table: soy sauce, vinegar, fish sauce and chili oil.

I got the flat rice noodles with wontons and the wontons are still springy and fresh.

The white fishballs were ok but I just wanted the noodles because I was craving for that weird alkaline taste.

After having the noodles, the COKE is recommended because it helps neutralize the Alkaline in the mouth and bottled coke always tastes better.

Although $16 is quite a good bargain, the couple on my table were complaining it was too expensive because they said it used to be $15.

I was early for dinner at the Satay Inn so I was just walking about when I discovered this place because of the salad bar.
As I was having dinner I only had the chocolate salami dessert which was quite nice.
It was slices chocolate with ladyfingers that looked like salami and it was not too sweet which was good.

[Review 5076] Frozen profiteroles @ 薩莉亞意式餐廳 Saizeriya Italian Restaurant

These profiteroles tasted good but they were frozen and the chocolate sauce texture was like icecream.
The sweetness was just right with frozen cream in the middle.
It is served in a paper try, which is brown and looks edible as well.

$15 Drinks & Thai canapés buffet if you’re lucky

There is something interesting going on at Moon Thai and if you’re lucky, you will get a bargain.
During the Happy Hour section, selected beverages are HKD$7 for the first seven minutes of every hour so I made it just in time with two seconds to spare.

If you missed the the first golden 7 minutes, they still have a “Buy-1-Get-1-Free" specials.
As for the Thai canapés, the price ranges from $8, $18, $28, $38 to $48 which are drawn from the lucky box.

I picked $48 from the box which means my canapés buffet cost $48 so good luck to you!!

The canapés are Thai Night Market-inspired with satays, pomelo salad, Thai leaves wrap etc.
Here was the food and drinks I had:
Lychee cooler:

Sweet and fragrant with a strong lychee taste.

Canape selection:

The Thai wrap was really good because the leaf had a strong taste which goes well with the strong spicy flavours and lime.

You either hate them or love them.
I was surprised to see that they had these Choc Mint Cookie Crisps because in HK they have never launched mint-related cookies or muffins.
Anyway, the Choc Mint Cookie Crisps look like mini maltesers which are brown and mint green in colour.
I found them highly addictive, the brown one is slightly bitter with a mild mint taste and the green one tastes exactly like mint chocolate icecream so if you like that sort of mint then this is for you.
The inside is crispy like maltesers but with a biscuit texture.
