[Review 5175] 優點 King's dimsum @ 優點點心專門店 King's Dimsum

There seems to be lots of choices on the menu which are creative but the taste was not as good as expected.  The crispy balls were too sweet and the Jasmine tea I was given was not Jasmine.  The management and operations could be smoother.

Food and drinks are the same but this branch has a nice view.
Got the earl grey tea as usual but this time it was quite strong.
The toilet is elderly and wheelchair friendly.

[Review 5173] Buttefly pea tea @ Thai On Nine By Kea

Stopped by Thai on Nine by Kea for a refreshing iced Buttefly pea tea.
It had a strong lime taste because they squeezed a lot of lime in it but the plastic cup was too flimsy to hold as the plastic was too thin.
I liked the way the menu has Western ingredients such as pesto and mozzarella as well as salmon curries.

[Review 5172] 7-Eleven Daily Cafe @ 7-Eleven Daily Cafe

Previously this spot used to be my favourite Jiang Shan Xiao.
Anyway, it is now 7-Eleven Daily Cafe.
They have some cute buns which were not there the second time I went.
There are bar tables indoors and tables outside.

Beneath the stools, there are boxes to put your belongings.
The menu and microwaves.
Ironically, they use the same style of bowls that Jiang Shan Xiao used to use.
Deep cardboard bowls.
They also put peasprouts which Jiang Shan Xiao used to do for takeaway noodles.
The noodle broth had a very strong MSG taste.
Non noodle choices are probably a better option but this is only offerered using office hours.

[Review 5171] I prefer the bread they had before @ La Sandwicherie

I was intending to go to KNEAD but something I wanted was sold out so I tried to satisfy my sandwich cravings here.
It was good there was a tailor made option with your choice of fillings but unfortunately they changed the bread supply which isn't as good as the bread they offered before.
The bread was too hard and chewy for my liking and the salad was too finely chopped up that it kept falling out.

[Review 5170] Noodles are the best @ 黃枝記 Wong Chi Kei

If I hadn’t tried the noodles at the CWB branch, I wouldn’t have known that the noodles were that good.
They are healthy because they don’t use alkaline and the soup is MSG free.
WCK is the last restaurant in my mind because there are so many good eateries in Central.
Finally went here because it was raining so I was intending to have a bowl of wonton noodles.
However when I got there, they were doing afternoon tea sets and I couldn’t resist the stir fried noodles with beanshoots.
The noodles were as good as expected but they were cold despite steam coming off it.
I was still hungry after eating the noodles so I ordered the bowl of wonton noodles which came in a delicious broth.
The chili oil they had was very aromatic and not very spicy with some black bean taste to it.
In comparison to the CWB branch, I think the quality is better here.

[Review 5169] Good Thyming @ 百里居 Thyme

Shop No. A1, G/F, 31 Hillier Street, Sheung Wan

I have always wanted to try this place because they have interesting detox combinations like the gumbo.
It was hard finding this restaurant on openrice because I thought it was not listed and there is no restaurant listed under Thyme.
I thought Thyme in Chinese was "bak lei heung" but the Chinese name for this place is "bak lei gui".
The guy looks scary but he is actually quite friendly.
Anyway finally got my juice combo of dill, okra, spinach and starfruit.
I couldn't really taste the spinach or okra but the starfruit and dill tasted nice together.
