Walked past and discovered this place which reminded me of this really good burger place called Toppings that closed down.
They had the cuttlefish burger which toppings used to have.
I was contemplating whether to get the veggie burger or the cuttlefish, in the end I went for the cuttlefish.
It was really good they didn't put the bun on top so that you could see the patty and sauce.
Unfortunately, the cuttlefish burger was ruined because you could only taste that charred metallic taste and not the delicate cuttlefish flavour.

The cuttlefish patty was exactly the same as the one at Toppings because it had sweetcorn in it or perhaps it is just the Chinese cuttlefish patty served as a burger.
The mustard sauce on the table was not even mustard sauce, it was some weird sweet sauce.
As for the drinks, they used to have Earl Grey but they don't offer it now.

It is sad seeing them serve rice dishes to cater for locals.

[Review 5181] les fleurs des glace @ Givrés

Basically icecream in a shape of a rose!
It costs $46 for one flavour so it is quite expensive and the portion is slightly less can a scoop of icecream.
I had the pistachio which was quite because it was not too sweet and the wafer cone was good even though it is inexpensive compared to the waffle cones.
It was surprising that they had Victoria sponge cakes because Givrés seemingly sounds French.
Anyway, I like Victoria sponge cakes and they were huge slices!

[Review 5180] Into the deep sea @ 海龍王餐廳 Neptune’s Restaurant

Haven't been to ocean park for years so decided to pay it a visit.
Everything has changed.

First stop was FOOD at Neptune’s Restaurant.
There is a brilliant panoramic view of the Grand Aquarium with lots of sharks, stingrays, turtles and more.
As the Monopoly-themed Afternoon Tea Set is running until the 17th of April, I decided to try it which is sufficient for two.

There was Lobster with Egg Mayo Sandwich, Ham and Cheese Sandwich, Sustainable Smoked Salmon and Abalone Quiche, Sausage Rolls, Mango Mousse Cake, American Cheesecake, assorted cookies, chocolate dice served with freshly brewed coffee or tea.

I really liked the sandwiches and the quiche was interesting because they put abalone in it which took it to the next level.

My friend had the 4-course showcase which were small portions of of the new signature dishes.

The set had salad of Gravlax Salmon with Mustard Seed; Lobster Bisque, and a main course combo of Salmon Fillet, Stir-fried Australian Tiger Prawns with Spicy Garlic Salt and Crispy Rice in “Shelter Bay” Style and Signature Fried Rice with Abalone, Lobster & Scallop; Almond Mocha Éclair with freshly-brewed coffee or tea to finish.

The salmon was delicate and flakey, while the prawn was tasty with bold spicy flavours.
For dessert the eclair had a nice coffee taste which rounded up nicely with the coffee.

[Review 5179] Coconut water icelolly @ Ice' Licious

Since my last visit, there is so much more variety and they have got themselves an award from a local Chinese mag.
I went there especially for the fruits in coconut water because I love coconut water.
It was a bit difficult to eat because the frozen fruit slices were hard as rock so it might be better if they were in smaller slices or chunks but it wouldn't look as pretty.
The icelolly tasted really natural but the coconut water turned out a bit bland because the fruits had a strong taste especially the kiwi and best left out.
I think plain pineapple and coconut water would taste good.

[Review 5178] Deligator = Delicatessen + Alligator @ Deligator

Noticed this place a while ago because it was different and I loved the pastel blue front.
Walked past one day and it was open so went in.
They specialise in Cuban food and serve the famous Cuban sandwich.

I went for the grilled cheese sandwich because I love grilled cheese.
Ironically the place I go round the corner for grilled cheese has closed down and this place has popped up.
The manager was really friendly and my grilled cheese was delicious.
The cheese was a blend of two different cheeses with a mild sharp taste and a hint of black pepper.

This is an old review and the menu seems to have changed according to their Facebook.
Anyway, I had the blacken catfish which was really silky and soft.
I also had the soft shell crab with delicious black-eyed pea puree beneath it.

[Review 5176] Princess dining experience @ 公主 Princess Cafe

It is quite remarkable how Princess Cafe initially started off as a cake and cookie shop in Central and Wan Chai eight years ago evolved to this dreamy restaurant.

Went there in the evening and had the 10 course tasting menu.

Before the dishes arrived, we were given this welcome dish with these lovely bites.

+++++++++
Forest pastorade:

This was a refreshing start to dinner with panfried cauliflower topped with crispy thin slices of cauliflower in a vinegary sauce with pickled grapes and a hint of mint.
+++++++++
Golden pearl Island:

This had an interesting oriental touch with Chinese preserved sausages and sweetcorn puree.
It was like eating scallops and bacon with sweetcorn puree.
+++++++++
Volcano eruption:

The pork was quite spicy because there was Korean kimchi to complement it with apple slices and green salad.
+++++++++
Sweet magic:

This was crispy rice crackers with the silkiest foie gras ganache complemented with sweet pears and fig.
I liked the way the foie gras was infused with Chinese Hua Diao wine.
+++++++++
Lotus fountain:

I loved the presentation of this soup.
The soup was concentrated chicken consomme with delicate vegetables and tortellini filled with strong tasting truffle and crab.

+++++++++
Lemongrass sorbet:

The sorbet was a nice refreshment contrasted by the spicy Tom Yum Kung cookie crumbs which were quite spicy.
+++++++++
Bella fairytale:

Perfectly sous vide pork belly paired with my favourite orange and carrot puree.
+++++++++
Gold coast:

Again another pretty dish with pasta in sweet uni sauce with bursts of saltiness from the salmon roes and bacon.
+++++++++
Strawberry fairy:

Dessert couldn't be better with this strawberry, yoghurt, pineapple shoe paired with tart passionfruit icecream.
+++++++++
Lady rosette:

A blueberry rose made with real blueberries paired with sweet lychee sorbet beneath.

As well as dinner, they have afternoon tea sets which I look forward to coming again soon.
