I loved the first visit so went again for dinner.
This time the food was even better.

Lovely fresh flowers on each table.

I know it is just a glass of water but the colour of the glass is really pretty.

For dinner, we had the set which comes with starters.
All three of them were delicious so I ate most of them.

The Thai papaya salad was different because they put crushed galangal which gives it a different taste and makes it memorable.

This was beetroot, walnut and apple salad.
++++++++++
For soups, there is a choice of chinese soup or yellow tremell mushroom chowder soup.
Both tasted good so I had them both to myself!

Next were the rolls which had my favourite grassy alfalfa in them.
The asparagus roll was really nice with nutty tasting alfalfa and Kewpie mayonnaise which makes everything delicious.
++++++++++
For drinks, the chocolate was really good because it had a nice chocolate taste without being too creamy.
The juice was a bit too sweet for my liking because I didn't expect vegetable juice to be that sweet.
++++++++++
These were the mains we had:
A nice crunchy Thai style vegetable mix with crisp and soft baguette slices.
The lasagne was quite filling with beancurd skin, avocado and cheese.
I didn't quite finish it but then I had too much starters and drank both soups because they were so good.
+++++
Dessert was apple cheese cake and sweet potato and purple potato pudding.
I liked the pudding more because it was pretty and not too sweet.

[Review 5206] Get ready for an Indian summer @ Juhu Beach Club
22/04/2016
Juhu Beach Club
中環蘇豪伊利近街28號

When I saw Juhu Beach club listed, I thought it was an American bar but it was far more exciting than just a chillaxing restaurant.
What surprised me was that they have branches in the US and the food has an Indian touch to it.
In the US, they have these popular waffles made of Indian dosa batter, which has a different taste and texture.
By just looking at the food pictures you would never have guessed that it was Indian.
I went for brunch and there were so many things to try that I went three times.
Most of the dishes are the same as the US Juhu but some vegetables and fruit may vary because of sourcing issues.
The décor is the same as the US restaurants but I would like to see more of the pretty wallpaper at the far back near the toilets to dominate the whole restaurant.
As for the food, it was quite spicy which is interesting because I didn’t think it would be that spicy.
Anyway, here was what I had over three visits:
++++++
Bhel salad:
Basically it was puffed rice with purple potatoes and local vegetables which is slightly different to the US version.
You pour it in the bowl and mix the sauce together.
I found the sauce quite spicy so I didn't mix it all.
It was a nice spicy crunchy mix with vegetables, pickles and grapes.
++++++
fruit chaat:
This was fruits and yoghurts, a nice refreshing starter.
++++++
classic doswaffle:
I love the doswaffles here because it has a sour taste and the taste is just different.
It was topped with spicy roasted potatoes, coconut chutney and lentil soup.
++++++
The hangover cure:
I thought this was wicked, bacon fried rice but I wish there was more bacon.
Again, this is quite spicy!
++++++
Bombay sandwich:
This is a must because it is such a delicious vegetarian cheese sandwich with beetroot, chaat masala and tomato soup.
++++++
Preeti’s seasonal doswaffle:
This is similar to the classic waffle but it is not spicy with delicious veggies.
++++++
nutella banana doswaffle:
The banana doswaffle that I had was good because it didn't have mango as shown on Instagram and the nutella was hidden beneath the waffle.
++++++
Nimbu pani:
For drinks had the nimbu which is cilantro lemonade and cumin.
An exotic taste I would say.
++++++
Sassy lassi:
The sassy lassi was sweet and savoury with lime yoghurt and mango, great for soothing a hot palette.

[Review 5205] Maple danish @ 英王麵包店 A1-Bakery

To be honest, this Maple pudding custard roll is more like a danish swirl.
Anyway, the texture and taste is basically like a danish and I couldn't see any custard but the maple taste was strong and very sweet.
Other stuff they have at this branch:

Came here for a quick drink before having dinner in the same building.
They have a happy hour promotion.
Anyway, I had the toasted marshmallow milkshake which was really creamy and milky.
It was thick and blended with vanilla icecream.
As well as the marshmallow milkshake, the salted caramel milkshake I had last time was really good.
