Bolaven is not a new brand, they used to be in WanChai and Tai Koo.
Now they are at the city'super foodcourt.

To be honest, I havent been here for a while since my favourite pasta and hotdog joint closed, so much has changed.

This was one of new shops so I decided to try it because I haven't tried their noodles.
Got the Pho Vientiane with the strawberry basil slush.

Coffee lovers should order coffee because they are famous for coffee.

I liked the noodles because the broth was really strong and they had home grown sprouts on the noodles.
The strawberry and basil cooled me down nicely and it wasn't too sweet with a prominent basil taste as well as blended strawberries.

Discovered this joint after seeing this new branch of 江仔記 listed in Tin Shui Wai which I tried a few days ago.
Went here to compare the two.
This joint has two floors and is extremely busy because it is in the heart of CWB next to some big malls.
I would advise that you should know what you want before going in because the people there are fast paced.
The menu is beneath the glass on the table.

Went for the dumplings with noodles.
The noodles were really good because there was no alkaline taste, they were thin and so silky that they kept slipping from my chopsticks.
The dumplings were filled with springy prawns, bamboo shoot slices and black fungus.

The broth was rich with a strong fried garlic taste and the sauces were not really needed.

Portions are big but I wish the standards could be as good as the TST branch.
The tofu was sweet and the fried bean sheets were not as tasty as they should be.


The diners at this branch are extremely noisy as well.

I hate this place now because it had a facelift so most tenants have been kicked out and replaced with more commercial ones that have branches everywhere making Hong Kong a boring place because every stupid mall has the same stupid shops.
I feel sorry for the elderly with dementia because the fast changing environment is not going to help them regain any memories.

Anyway, I got these cheese twists which were really delicious as expected but there was a bit too much butter and it was not cheesy enough but it was nice.
The raisin bun was quite good too with juicy soft raisins that gave it sweetness in every bite.

Went here for some quick noodles before going to the famous Wetland park.

I am not familiar with this area so decided to try this new restaurant which was just listed on openrice.
It is the same branch as the one in Causeway Bay round the corner from Times Square and Soundwill plaza which I will try too.

This joint is big and spacious.

I got the flat rice noodles with four treasures.
The broth was really good, it was thick and strong with a hint of fried garlic.
The four treasures were fish skin dumpling, cuttlefish ball, fishball and pork ball.
I always eat the noodles first before they go soft and then eat the tasty balls.

I don't really eat in Kwun Tong but discovered this grilled cheese place.
The reason why this is called The devil loves Louis Vitton is because the tables are all covered with LV patterns.

There are so many difference choices but only two that I wanted to try.
I got the Cheese Why Evil Devil because it had macaroni and cheese in it but there was also meat sauce and onions which I requested without because I like my grilled cheese to be simplistic.

The taste was ok but the cheese sauce was basically processed cheese sauce which tastes like Nacho cheese sauce.
As I didn't want to make a second trip, I pushed my luck by ordering the triple cheese which had bacon, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese and buffalo cheese.

I requested it vegetarian without the bacon because I only eat British bacon.
Anyway, the mushrooms were disappointing and I regret not just asking for a Plain triple cheese.

Two out of the three cheeses were good since one of them was processed as it doesn't melt in a regular way like the other two cheeses.
The taste of triple cheese was ok but not cheesy enough for me.

I think I might come again and try the Asian ones with egg and pork belly.

Only went here because I had a good experience at the choi hung branch.
The one here is always busy and there is a long queue.

It is fun how they have abbreviated Queue as Q.

Sadly, the wasabi dishes were wet and dripping because the container had about 5mm of water at the bottom.
The sushi was not as good as the other branches and there was a poor variety of sushi on the conveyor belt.
