My friend called me about was getting me some Musubis from Hana-Musubi and when I heard runny egg yolk musubi (lausum), I thought I heard it wrong but it really was a musubi with a runny egg yolk.

My friend got me two new ones.

I had a feeling the egg yolk was going to be a surprise so left it last.

This had a light taste with juicy cubes of daikon and a hint of wasabi.

A great vegetarian musubi.

I lifted the nori as I wanted to see if there was a real egg yolk inside but it was egg yolk paste.

It was so damn delicious when I took a bite because the paste tasted like an actual egg yolk and there was so much, it seemed like there were 1.5 egg yolks inside.

Just imagine having Japanese pearl rice with runny egg yolk!

The sizzling steak dinner was surprisingly good.

It's not a good steak but I liked it because it has been sodarized and it wasn't too salty.

There was garlic butter which I quickly brushed aside as soon as I got it and the gravy was served separately by request because I wanted to try the steak on its own and it was quite nice on its own.

The potato which lots of people didnt like was really nice in my opinion because it was crispy but sticky soft in the middle.

So you can conclude that people have different tastes.

These steak platters are meant to be a good deal but I don't eat the frankfurters, soup and Chinese style bread or the drink so not a good value for me.

Got this seafood cup because it looked fun but it ended up being really messy because the rice was super compressed into the cup that it was really hard to eat.
It would be better to use a spoon, but they only had chopsticks.

I love this bittermelon and beans dish that I went back for it.

It has a lovely black bean taste and the bittermelons were soft and mushy which went perfectly with rice along with the generous gravy in the dish.

There wasn't much to choose from so chose the fresh tomato and beef dish. 
It was surprisingly good except the tomato sauce had too much sugar in it.

The beef slices were thin and lean.
It is nice that people can feel at home dining at Cafe de coral!

I have always wanted to eat here but they were either closed or the stuff was sold out.

Previously attempted to dine there but it was hard trying to order the food because you need to get their attention and they kept ignoring me so I stormed off. 

On this visit, I managed to order.

The filled things tasted a bit bland but it all came together with the magic red sauce on the table which was quite salty but not really spicy.

My favourite was the most expensive item.

It was crispy loofah and shrimp pancake.

The pancake was crispy but gooey in the middle yet it was not heavy.

There were a few pieces of shrimp but lots of pork which gave the pancake a nice flavour and the loofah pieces made the pancake sweet and juicy.

I have been here twice because I love the rice.

Sadly, the menu has changed and there are fewer options for sauces.

On the old menu, you could choose pomegranate labnah, hummus, pickles, baba ganoush and Zhoug labnah.
Now there are only four choices (step 3).

Thankfully the prices are still the same.

I settled for the Haloumi with rice and chose the cucumber labnah.

The taste is still as good and the rice was still nice but the choices have gone down.
