There are two branches of Santorini in Hong Kong, one in Central and one in Wanchai.

Went here for dinner.

Started with banana and yoghurt smoothie which was a great wake up for the evening.

Greek food is not complete without dips and it was comforting they had Taramosalata which you can commonly get in the UK.

We got the dip sampler so we could try the other dips.

Taramosalata (100% cod eggs with potato purée and lemon)

Eggplants Dip (Chargrilled eggplant spread)

Fava Beans Dip from Santorini (Yellow fava beans purée served with spring onion, capers and cherry tomatoes)

Tzatziki (Greek yogurt with cucumber and garlic)
My favourites were Taramosalata  and Tzatziki which were both creamy but Taramosalata has a salty twist.
The eggplant dip is on the sweet side while the fava beans dip is nicely spiked with cumin.

Next was the Sagnanaki Cheese which was runny and stringy in the middle with a mild cheese taste and a hint of salt in it.

Ordered the Spanakopita which is a classic Greek puff with spinach and feta cheese.
There are other fillings as well but I like spinach.

The Octopus salad was surprisingly tangy and tasty and the octopus had a balanced char grilled flavour to it.

Finished with my favourite rice pudding which was thick and creamy.

First time I went here, I had the chicken with garlic and chili a la carte so the chicken and garlic crumbs were placed on top of the rice making it bloody salty.
It appears to have red colouring too because the chopsticks go red.
On the second visit, I went for the set because the rice is served separately.
Anyway, the chicken was consistently salty.
The hygiene could be improved because the plastic cups for the water stink of wet cloths.

Glad Putien didn't disappoint me this time because they disappointed me earlier at Diamond Hill twice.
Anyway, it is good to see they have new items all the time.
Cute rice bear!
I wonder if the rice is that touching to make you cry from the Chinese wording.
Overall, the food was good this time, there was no smelly pork or overly oily dishes.

Went here because I love CATSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs.

As well as cats, they had great cakes so that was a bonus.

I tried the blue stevia pea cake which looks blue but  tastes like a normal black forest cake.
Finished it off with a pot of red tea.
The staff there were REALLY NICE and FRIENDLY.
They encourage  you to return your plates when you go but they should have it in English too for those who can't read Chinese .

To be honest, I ended up dining here because the food I wanted at Kasa down the road was sold out.

For lunch $98 is quite reasonable but not reasonable if you want Arabic food because two out of the three choices were not Arabic.

I understand that for real Arabic food you have to come back in the evenings but some people are only in Central during the daytime and will only give once chance to the restaurant they try.

Started with Ruose salad which was just peas, carrots in mayonnaise dressing that tasted like peas in a creamy salad cream dressing.

For the mains,  I went for the tagine because pasta and the pan fried beef rolls were not Arabic, but strangely the seafood tagine is not on the main menu and they don't serve seafood in the evenings.
Judging the main menu, it was quite reasonable with Mezzes, grills and Sharwamas, but for lunch I wish there was proper stuff like Hummous, grilled meat with a side of Arabic rice or a choice mini Sharwama rolls.

Luckily dessert was good, it was my favourite rice pudding which was creamy without being too sweet.

Hoping to see more options on the lunch menu like "Oh Food" in Wanchai which serves Halal Arabic Food.
Persian food is also delicious because they have lots of tasty rices especially the one in London called Simurgh.

To be honest, there are not many places worth recommending for dimsum in Hong Kong because the quality is just a sloppy mess laced with oil.

I am glad my list of good yum cha places in Hong Kong has increased to four with this one.

The dimsums are not oily or too sweet as well as being photogenic.

As it was golden week, decided to start it off by having some dishes with golden crab roe!

The tea list has expanded and you can now order other floral teas but I still like my plain green tea.

Although it doesn't look like vegetable stems but they are thinly sliced Chinese Kale stems which are hard and woody but when it is thinly sliced, the nice part is exposed.

I loved this healthy vegetable side dish.

Baby cabbage with parma ham:

The broth to this was really nice and the parma ham was presented beautifully like a rose.

Crab roe on ginger rice:

This was moist fiery ginger rice at the bottom topped with crab roe gravy that was almost overflowing.

 crab roe on shrimp toast:

I found this addictive, the toasts were good on its own or with the crab roe.
On its own, they were fragrant with a salted egg coating but with the crab roe it was even more delicious.

full of crab dumpling:

Looking like black caviar are pearls of Chinese vinegar which burst open when you eat these dumpling to balance the richness of the crab roe.

baked crab rice puffs,:

This was similar to the above but the tart base was a bit too sweet for me.

sesame dumplings in osmanthus honey  ginger soup:

Ginger soup is tradition after eating crab because in Chinese medicine it balances the effects of hairy crab which I won't go into details because it doesn't make any sense to me, the same as Chinese people believe fried food gives you sore throats/tongue ulcers which scientifically I believe the food was hot and it scalds the mouth .

I also tried the green tea bun which is new.
Poke it and it will ooze out some green stuff!

I have always wanted to try this place but it is very intimidating to go in because the people dining there are a bit weird and stuck up.
Finally went on a quiet day and had some soup.
The soup was actually quite nice and tasted natural with bits of sweetcorn and carrot in it.
