Firstly this place is easily missed because it is on the main road where all the cars are and secondly I thought it was a Thai joint from the outside.
Luckily, someone booked this for an early Winter Stolstice and it turned out to be amazing.
One of the dishes in particular was a very traditional dish and I thought they were weird when they were asking if there was liver in the sweet and sour wonton dish 懷舊錦鹵雲吞.
It was crispy wontons that came with a side of runny sweet and sour sauce with liver in it.
As well as traditional dishes, they also had modern dishes such as the foie gras pancake.
I loved this pancake because the processed cheese and foie gras paired together surprisingly well.
Then we had snake soup which had a lot of herbs in it and the strong dried orange peel taste was really good.
After having a hot snake soup, the lamb pot made you sweat but it was lovely, I love lamb pot and the fermented beancurd sauce.
Finished with the chicken braised in sweet soya sauce.
It was definitely a good chicken that was tender, soft and fully flavoured by the sweet soya sauce.
Anyway, the above were the dishes I liked and I definitely recommend them.
There was also sweet and sour pork but the meat was a bit fatty and the fried rice had the usual metallic wok taste.

Christmas is approaching fast so don't be bowled over!
At GREAT, they have ready to eat Christmas Sets ranging from $1299-1899 with fully roasted turkey, glazed smoked bone in ham, sliced roast smoke gammon ham, truffle potato gratin, brussel sprouts and pancetta and chestnts, baked sausage, sage & onion stuff with assorted quinoa, Christmas Stollen and traditional chestnut buche de Noel.
As well as Christmas sets, they have cheese platters and cold cuts.
Canapes.
They also have different hampers to suit everyone from families to gift hampers for the office.
Huge Yule Log:
Other interesting finds include THES de la Pagode tea, Chocolate olive oil and Maison Augard pates.

I was really lucky to tag along BC Magazine and taste the best Christmas feast ever as everything from my childhood was there and I was rekindled with lots of other treats I had as a kid such as Bombay Mix.

A while ago # was known as the HASH key on the phone when calls involved pressing numbers followed by the # key.
Nowadays all that has changed and we Hashtag everywhere to get our news and messages across effectively.
I discovered this new modern and chic restaurant #OMG because it was right next to Hong Kong Day.
The decor, tables and chairs in a contrasting white and magenta made it fun to dine there so I went in.
Looking at the menu, all the dishes were affordable with a good range from pastas, burgers, udon, Japanese dishes to All day breakfasts.
The drinks were equally impressive, especially the hot chocolate with candyfloss and some drinks are only half price when you order the main dishes.
Here was what we ordered: Steamed green tea with lemon, Taste of Aomori, Peach Crush, La La Land, Fettuccine with cheese and meatballs in Italian style tomato sauce and All day breakfast.
Started off with the cold drinks and all of them were refreshing but it really depends on what your preference is.
My favourite was the La La Land because I like the combination of orange and passionfruit but if you like strawberries and apple then go for the Taste of Aomori.
Peach Crush:

Taste of Aomori:
Peach Crush is recommended for people who like it sweet without the acidic fruits like citrus and berries.
My friend had the flu that day, so he had the lemon tea with a modern twist because it was lemon with roasted green tea leaves.
It was really hard choosing the mains because the All day breakfast and omurice looked good but in the end I got the breakfast.
For $58, the All day breakfast was really good, you get waffle with jam, egg, sausage, chips, tomato, baked beans, bacon and mushrooms.
A nice combination of sweet and savoury items on one plate.
The egg was done beautifully complimented nicely by the rest of the items.
The Fettuccine with cheese and meatballs in Italian style tomato sauce came with generous tasty meatballs covered in rich tomato sauce.
I liked the way it was paired with fettuccine because spaghetti can get a bit boring sometimes but saying that I was tempted to order the spaghetti bolognese.
Quite a feast at this place and OMG it didn't break the bank!!

Went here because I was in Kowloon.
Tried the coconut with red rice, QQ cubes served with pinenuts.
The dessert was quite cooling and light in taste with a lovely taste of coconut water mixed with the red rice.
I wish the presentation was better though because it looked like the contents overflowed all over the coconut and it costs $75 so not exactly cheap.
The product shot showed the coconut was on a candlelight stove but it was simply served in a bowl.
