Went here for dinner.
This restaurant specializes in beef and grilled food but as I wasn't keen on beef I had other items which were just as good.
The must order was the crabmeat with crab paste because I love crab tomalley, the dark green matter found in crabs.
It only costs $78 with rice to go with it.
The crab meat, quail egg and everything gets mixed up while it is being grilled.
The mixture is ready to eat with rice when it thickens.
The mixture had a strong crab umami taste which complimented the rice perfectly.
It tastes like crab pate that you find in the UK supermarkets.

The fish fins were sweet and chewy with a crunch.

The fish scales came attached with fish skin and they were crispy.

The spinach cod roe was very flavourful and loaded with so much cod roe that it was quite salty.

We had the Wagyu beef fried rice which was really tasty with strong black pepper and lots of egg.
The rice was lovely and soft while the beef was juicy.

The sake clams were big and the strength of the sake was so strong that it burns your throat slightly when you swallow it.

Definitely a good place to go because they serve tempura, sashimi as well as grilled food.

It is the year of the rooster so Godiva have launched these rooster chocolates.
There are white, milk and dark options.

MILK: Coq lait mangoustan gingembre
A fruity tone of Mangosteen.

WHITE: Coq blanc carambole pamplemousse

I was anticipating a really sweet white chocolate taste but the grapefruit and starfruit flavours were more prominent.

DARK: Coq noir mandarine baie de goji
A nice pairing of dark chocolate and citrus flavours.

Taking a break from chocolates, you can also analyse your fingerprints with a partner or friends to see if you are the perfect match for each other.


There are three new hot chocolates: chili, ginger and 72%.
I heard the ginger was quite sweet so I went for the 72% which was just right.

How could I have left Godiva without some heavenly chocolates!!

Not often can you find a restaurant with GREAT FOOD and a GREAT VIEW.
Here you have both provided that you like French food with talents from Mandarin's Amber.
Les Saveurs Private Kitchen offers a private room for two or a big group.
Started with the Poached Blue Lobster.

[Caviar, Iceberg Lettuce, Avocado, Lemon Yoghurt]
Springy sweet lobster paired with creamy avocado and yoghurt.

Fresh Smoked Salmon:
[42°C Fresh Smoked Salmon, Smoked Caviar, Apple Horseradish Ravioli, Beetroot Puree]
The texture of the salmon was soft and supple with a lovely smokey fragrance.

Cream of Watercress Soup
[Geoduck Clams, Clams Cappuccino]
This was surprisingly good because the watercress taste was nice and grassy.


Poached and Pan Fried Foie Gras with Malibu:

[Balsamic Pearls, Coconut Espuma, Caramelized Pineapple]
I loved this because I love Malibu and it was lovely and coconutty and then the carmelized pineapple refreshed the palate like pina colada.

For the mains, had the Pan fried Amadai Fish, Lobster Cappuccino, Celeriac Puree.
The fish scales were fried to the point they were crispy and edible but the bigger scales were a bit hard for my liking.

Finished with Green Tea Mille Feuille Citrus Salad and Sorbet but I was quite full at that point.

Definitely a good place to go if you want time to go slowly especially when you are dating someone!!

I always eat at Muji because their food is flavoured by minimal seasoning so that you can really taste the food.

For winter, they are serving dishes with root vegetables which happens to be my favourite POTATOES!~!~

Since the last visit, you can now order a set with 3 cold dishes and 2 hots dishes with rice for people with big appetites like me, but then I chose the non meat dishes which is probably why I was still hungry.

This is why I love Muji cafe because they offer lots of options for people who are not keen on meat.

You can now choose 3, 4 or 5 dishes according to your appetite.


Here are the chilled choices:

Bacon and potato salad in creamy sauce.

Purple sweet potato and green apple salad.

Sweet potato shoots and pork salad.

Stem vegetables with quinoa.

Squid in spicy dressing.

Hot dishes:

Cheese and soymilk potato gratin.

Selected potato croquette:

Pumpkin and radish with minced pork:

kouya tofu and pumpkin:

baked halibut filet with miso:

The other side dishes were must orders as well because I love baked potatoes and the ones here are stuffed with Yam and edamame beans.

For those who can't decide, there are also two chef specials.

Chicken with porcini sauce or halibut with yuzu cream sauce.


The desserts were brilliant especially the Carrot cake!
The texture was extremely soft and super moist. It was so moist that liquid was almost seeping out and it had a strong raw carrot taste.

The dollop of cinnamon cream that goes with it is amazing because it is light with a hint of cinnamon.


There was also green tea cakes which people will go mad for.

Ever since I saw photos of this special pizza I have always wanted to try it.

This restaurant used to be in a difficult location near elements so I couldn't be bothered to go but now they are in Tai Kok Tsui which makes it slightly easier and the fact that they are still around means the food can't be too bad.

So the first thing I ordered when I got there was the award winning pizza and a pasta.

The pasta was really good because you get to choose the sauce, ingredients and type of pasta.

When the pizza came, it didn't look like a pizza, it looked like sandwiched triangles with a Chinese style Mexican bun topping.

The staff said you can eat it in three ways: on its own, with salad and with vinegar.

The pizza was crispy and cheesy with a fragrant black truffle flavouring.

Then I tried it with salad which tones down the black truffle.


I didn't really like the vinegar because the vinegar was too sweet for my liking.

Then came the pasta which was also promising, I chose squid ink pasta with olive oil, mushrooms and onions.

A deliciously simple pasta that tasted great.
