After trying the dinner I was curious about the lunch sets so went for lunch.

THE LAST ORDER IS 2PM SO YOU HAVE TO GET THERE EARLIER BECAUSE I WENT AT 2pm AND DIDN'T QUITE MAKE IT.
Ordered the vegetarian one which had panko mushrooms, pineapple cabbage salad, sweet potatoes and cinnamon maca.
The cabbage salad and rice was satisfying because it was a refreshing crisp medley of cabbage.
However the sweet potatoes were extremely sweet and the apples were just apple soaked in cinnamon.

When I saw photos on openrice, there was a mix of Cantonese dishes and Xinjiang dishes so I decided to check it out because I love Uyghur Lamb Pilaf.

Bayi used to be the only place in HK that serves it until I discovered this place.

Got there and the lady said they do both Cantonese and Xinjiang dishes so diners can choose Cantonese dishes as well if they don't like Xinjiang dishes.

Anyway, I went for the Uyghur Lamb Pilaf and a Spicy lamb appetizer.

Also picked this tofu dish which was Cantonese because it was coated in salted egg yolk.

Spicy lamb appetizer:
Similar to the Sichuan appetizer, it had Sichuan peppercorns, cucumber, green bean sheets and lamb belly.

A tasty dish that went well with the rice pilaf.

Uyghur Lamb Pilaf:

This was a dish of rice mixed with carrots topped with lamb meat. The rice was flavoured and delicious so I was glad I ordered it because it went well with the dish above.

Crispy tofu coated in egg yolk:

It was nice because it was coated in aromatic salted egg yolk but because the Xinjiang dishes were strong in flavour this turned out to be quite boring.

Roselle tea:

A refreshing Roselle tea but to me it tastes like Ribena.

Not sure how this dish would taste but it is cooked with fish liver!!

Decided to visit Harbour 8 because I have never been there before.

They were doing this afternoon tea set which only costs $168 and you get a SKINFOOD face care pack.

In collaboration with Skinfood, they have done a Yuzu and brown sugar tea set theme with a Yuzu hot drink included.


My favourite were the savouries and the water droplet cake.




The yuzu puffs were also delicious.

After the first visit, learnt a lesson that you have to order this in advance if you want it!!!
As well as the delicious pine crab, there was a scoop of crab paste beneath it which makes the noodles taste even better.

The broth was consistently good as before with a strong clam taste and I like the texture of these noodles because they are like tagliatellini.

The crab is conveniently shelled for you.

I haven't seen tea soda on the menu before so when I saw Jasmine Soda I decided to try it.

It was very fizzy but lacked Jasmine flavour even though there were so much Jasmine flower buds in the drink.

They also had these Butterfly pea flower drinks, the weirdest one had to be the chocolate.

Haven't been here for ages so decided to have lunch at The Cabin with my Brit friend.

I am glad the food was still consistently good and didn't let us down.

Went for lunch so I recommended the cottage pie to him but the other two dishes like fish pie and Lancashire lamb hotpot were also recommendable.

All three are annoyingly good.

Anyway, I had the fish burger with chips because it was not on the menu before.

REAL CHIPS served here.

I have been eating too much Japanese food lately, so had to eat some British food.

{Technically this is NZ style "Fush" and Chips but it still does the job!!!}
Went to White Beard fish and chips where I always go.
Ordered the battered oysters which are always consistently good.
Juicy oysters inside. It comes with a choice of dips which frankly is not required because it tastes good on its own but selecting ketchup would be wise to go with chips if you ordered any.

Also had gravy and chips with a beef and cheese pie.

I love chips and gravy.


Spotted this aged cheese sandwich so ordered that as well.
It was nice and cheesy.

My cravings were satisfied!!
