At the Congress Plus, they are now doing Japanese themed delights.
Prices are about $6xx per person with further discounts when more people dine with you.
Wine and soft drinks are also unlimited.

After seeing lots of posts, I finally tried this place.
We had lots of fresh sashimi to begin and we had the seafood platter.
I decided to post the chicken wings because everyone is posting pictures of the seafood.
The chicken wings are good as well because they are crispy with a nice saltiness.

If you have tried Belgos in London, nothing in the world can beat it.
Belgica is close so in that respect, the food is really good by Hong Kong standards.
Started with this coconut beer which has this lovely white foam on top and this sweet coconut taste.
A girly beer for girls.

For appetizers we had croquettes, there was classic or shrimp.
I preferred the classic because there was tasty bits of bacon while the shrimp croquette was a bit bland.
Now to the star of the show, the mussels!!
There were so many choices to choose from so we shared all the different flavours.
My favourite had to be the Whittaker beer and the green curry.
The mussels were soft and fresh.

As with all Belgian mussels, it is always paired with fries which are fried twice.
It would be great if they had plain mayonnaise.

Finished off with the Prime Rib.
It was a great steak as it was juicy with a crisp surface and a strong beefy taste.

Randomly went here because it was empty and there were lots of noodles to choose from.
I chose the noodles topped with dried prawn roe in sesame oil.
You can also choose pork lard but not my cup of tea.
This was fragrant and flavoured by the salty prawn roe.
Also had the soup noodles with pig's blood jelly, vinegared pork trotters, aged citrus peel fish balls and noodles made with Mountain yam.

I really liked the silky thin white noodles because it absorbed the broth.
A nice joint to visit if you are in the area.

I have always wanted to try Trattoria Doppio Zero because they use Italy's finest flour 'Doppio Zero" to make their fresh pastas.
Although we didn't try these two pastas, they have two with a Chinese touch to it with the use of XO sauce and Chinese fermented beancurd.

Started with the Baby Beetroot Salad which was colourful and refreshing with golden beetroot, watermelon beetroot and the usual beetroot paired with buttery walnuts.

The olive bread was also good because it was soft and springy.
As a cheese lover, we had the creamy Burrata Cheese topped with roe on top of Pickled Beetroot.

The New Zealand wild clams Chitarra was tasty with a kick of chili in it.
When this dish arrived I could smell the cheese but when you ate it the cheese flavour and tomato worked in harmony while the capellini had a natural tomato taste.
The Pappardelle with Blue crab and caramelized fennel looked creamy but it wasn't.
As well as pasta we had the Japanese-Style Poached Black Cod.
It felt complete because there was crispy fish skin and salmon roe to compliment it.

I am not a fan of desserts but the Sweet Corn & Vanilla Pudding was interesting because everything had sweetcorn and popcorn in it which reminded me of Mexican desserts.

For a restaurant to survive in Central the food has to be good.The food was better on this visit compared to a few years ago because they have more Western dishes which suits my palate and evidently more expats are dining there.On the menu, it is comforting to see Caesar salad, Mozzarella tomato salad and a variety of pastas as well as the Taiwanese fare for native tastesbuds.
Started with buffalo wings which were surprisingly good because they were crispy and tangy.

The wild mushroom, beef and black pepper fettucine was good but I couldn't find any mushrooms in it.
I didn't eat the beef because it was Chinese style tenderized beef.
For drinks had the taro slush which was fragrant and not too sweet.
The fruit tea had lots of fruit in it but I found it a bit too sweet.

As it was a public holiday, there was 20% and it is better dining there on the weekends and PHs because the office crowd is not there.
