As well as Sheungwan, CheckCheckCin has another branch in CWB.
Another great option for drinks which are healthy.
I got the dry throat healing tea which tastes great just like a Chinese soup with a ginseng aftertaste.

While I was there,  I had my favourite raspberry almond milk which is really soothing and not too sweet.
It was a surprisingly wonderful combination.
I had it hot (served warm), any hotter than and that I don't think it would taste nice.
To my amazement it had real raspberries in it, not sure if they were fresh or frozen but at least they were not the dehydrated ones.
There should be more raspberries in the picture but it tasted so good I drank half of it before I took pictures.
Not to mention the benefits for health, I loved the taste because it was so natural especially the raspberry and you could taste hints of almond as well without being too milky.
Normally milk doesn't mix with sour berries but in this case almond milk does.
The beauty is that this drink tastes good hot or cold so it depends on what mood you're in.
I will definitely be back for the new strawberry drink.

I have walked past so many times but never noticed this place because it is dark and grubby.
Discovered this place from social media so decided to risk getting the shxts to try it out because it really does look grubby.
I got the shredded chicken vermicelli which was BOILING HOT when it came, it was too hot for me to even take the bowl to the table.
There was so much vermicelli in it and the chicken soup was surprisingly good.
Well, I didn't get any unpleasant effects the next day so I guess the hot temperatures did the work~~

Tried Amina in CWB and TST years and years ago.
Decided to go again because it is a good place to relax with fine dining.
Began with assorted bread and amuse bouche which was melon and parma ham.
Next was the scallop which was on a bed of healthy quinoa and cauliflower puree.
Unfortunately the consomme had been changed to tomato which was equally as refreshing.
Next was the Lobster bisque which was rich paired with dried prawn roe.

The foie gras was just as fancy, topped with an abundance of crushed pistachios which gave it a lovely nutty flavour.

The Guava sorbet was served just before the mains, I found it quite sweet but my friend found it refreshing.

For the mains, it was my favourite soft and gelatinous beef cheek, the red wine sauce was fantastic.
There was a side of couscous which didn't look like couscous because it was served like risotto in a creamy pesto sauce.

Finished with cheesecake and petit fours.
Overall, it was quite a satisfying meal.

I was going to go to Big Jo's but unfortunately it had been replaced by this so tried it anyway.
Not an expert on ramen but the broth was strong and strangely I could taste salmon in it as well.
The eel with rice was ok but the eel tasted rather fishy.
The menu is quite good because they have used colours for each different ramen broth

Loved this place because it was really relaxing with high ceilings and plants hanging down.
It is on a sunny spot so the entrance metal door handles can be quite hot.
Once you get inside, it is lovely.
My friend had the mussels which were in a strong creamy cheesy sauce loaded with bacon.
The drink was visually stunning but you have to mix it before you drink it because most the sweetness is at the bottom.
I had the abalone udon which was impressive because they served Inaniwa udon, a thin white udon, and the broth was light packed with enoki mushrooms and cabbage.

Went here because I am nuts for squirrels and food and squirrels are nuts for nuts!!

I loved the creamy apple which is an apple drink topped with three inch milk foam.

Likewise, the cold cappuccino is also topped with 3 inch foam so it depends whether you prefer coffee or something light.


Another one of my favourites was the coconut soda which cooled me down on a hot day.
It had a fragrant coconut flavour that was not too sweet.

For lunch, I had the fish curry which was my favourite fish. It was delicately coated in breadcrumb coating paired with Japanese curry.

For dessert, I had the chocolate brownie which was warm and soft in the middle with a rich chocolate taste.

I am not an expert on coffee, but they have this state of the art coffee machine which can be programmed for precise milk, water and coffee measurements.

Previously this joint used to be a German do but now they serve a good variety of cuisines.
They have pizzas, tapas, salads etc.
Had the small sausage platter which was a good taster of sausages.
My favourite was the dark long one which tastes like pepperami sausages found in UK.
Also had the pork knuckle which was crispy paired with appetizing sauerkraut.
The pork knuckle was not too salty.
