It was raining heavily that day so I was stuck at Landmark, somehow I ended up at The Galleria through one of the connecting skyways.
As I was hungry I had a croissant to begin with which was freshly baked because the smell brought me here.
It was light and flakey with a balanced butter taste.
For cakes, I had the carrot cake which is a British favourite.
It looked like a Muffin but they reassured me that it was a cake and you can see pieces of carrots in it.
The texture and taste was perfect because it was not as dense like a carrot cake with fragrant Cinnamon,

For drinks, I am so glad they recommended the Masala Chai because I don't normally like it because the cloves are too overwhelming but this one was just heavenly with a fluffy foam cap.
While I was there, I saw some Indians order it so it was be good.

Decided to try this joint as it was recommended by some Taiwanese friends.
When I got there it was a slight culture shock as the staff there spoke Taiwanese.
Started with the beef noodles which were my favourite because it was generously topped with my favourite pickled vegetables and the broth was strong.
The vegetables were tender drizzled with sauce imported from Taiwan topped with mince and garlic puree.
They also had Taiwanese drinks so tried the Apple Sidra which is a bit like fizzy apple juice.
The tofu tasted like springy fishballs and beneath it was delicious Chinese cabbage cooked with dried shrimps.
The Taiwanese sausages were interesting because this is not something that I always come across.
The texture is the slighter softer than a Chinese preserved sausage but harder than a British pork sausage while the taste is quite sweet.
My friend had the noodles with chicken.
Again flawless.

Finished with the watermelon tea which was a little sweet for my liking.

Buffets here has always been good but the last time I came was a few years ago.
I can't believe how much I have missed.
Currently it is the "summer beef feast buffet" where you get to try three different beefs as they will serve them in the buffet one after the other.
As well as beef, there was a good seafood, sashimi, sushi, noodle station, cheese selection, hams and more.
On a healthy note, I liked the salad bar because they had Hydroponically grown vegetables and there was refreshing fruit detox water which is so much better than plain water.
The drinks selection was good too with teas and coffees, fruit punches and free flow of cocktails!!

There were three different beefs that night: Australian Wagyu beef, New Zealand roast beef and Korean thinly sliced beef.

The buffet is definitely worth the money because I was amazed at the rate they were serving the Chef's specials.
When you've just finished the first special dish, the staff are already ringing the bells that there is a new surprise where you queue to get it.
The seafood tower was one of them and at the bottom there was delicious congee!~
I had to leave room for dessert because there were so much choices as well including the famous Movenpick icecreams, durian cheesecake, marble cheesecake and my favourite freshly made pancakes with a brilliant choice of fillings including cherries!!!
What made dessert special was the Saturn peach because I have never tried it before and it was so sweet bursting with juices!
Finished off the lovely buffet with my favourite Jasmine tea from the drinks selection.


Definitely will return and look forward to their creative creations as always

This place used to be a good place for French food but now it is a modern bar with delicious bar bites.
I am glad the new place is also good or I would be upset the French place has gone.
Started with the Strawberry paradise which was so good because it wasn't too sweet and there were lots of crushed strawberries in it.

Started with Diamond clams and Mussels in beer poppy sauce.Both were fresh and sweet.
They have a seafood pot which has all that and crab claws, but my favourites are mussels and diamond clams so I got them separately.

To my astonishment, there was grilled Kinki fish costing $98 (which used to cost around $1000 in Japanese restaurants.).
The fish was delicate and the skin was crispy.

Discovered this donut latte at the convenience store so decided it try it even thought it is evidently latte with a squirt of Monins doughnut flavoured syrup.
I wouldn't describe the donut taste as strong but it was a nice latte that was not too sweet with a cakey sweet aroma to it.
It is interesting to see them offering lunches as well.

Fancy having lobster at a tea house, now you can at DK Cuppa or on board one of their boat trips.
There are more savory items which make it fit for dinner or a slightly heavier tea set for guys.
Started with the mushroom soup which was nice and earthy.
Next the star of the show was the Maine lobster which is torched in front of you.
I was surprised the lobster was actually quite springy with lots of Tomalley which enhances the taste of the lobster.
You also get veggie chips including okra which are addictive.
There is a white chocolate and crispy rice puff doggy that is too cute to eat.

I have previously tried this place for lunch so I knew the food was going to taste great.
In the evenings, they have a set menu for those who are carbs/calorie conscious.
Started with the drinks and there were so many that were good.
I had the green one which was good for detoxing while tasting great.

For the mains, I had the Chicken Thai basil which was served on cauliflower rice.
Cauliflower rice is basically finely chopped cauliflower florets and by using cauliflower to replace rice, it is a smart way of getting fibres while skipping carbs.
This dish was very flavourful because of the herbs and spices.

Next was the whole wheat spaghetti in pesto, another one of my favourites because it was creamy with balanced pesto in it.

The seared cod was flakey while the skin was crispy.
A great dish fish lovers will enjoy.
